I was placed here as a sub for about 4-5 months. So everything I say is based off of that experience.

They technically only had one second grade teacher so the classrooms for second grader like 31 students. I cannot speak on the other classroom, but the one I was in was not managed very well, and there was no classroom culture established. I noticed almost immediately the teacher was very loud & yelled at students. I’ve actually had to apologize to students for her yelling at them and being wrong. But if a student tried to tell her she was wrong and that they weren’t doing what she said they were doing she didn’t believe them. One time I was looking directly at a group if kids trying to figure out who was talking and she just turned her head and screamed at a kid to stop talking. He walked past me & said “I wasn’t talking” and I had to say “sorry I know you were not”. Pretty sure it was the kid next to him but I couldn’t see, and was waiting as to be certain who was talking. One kid even cried because they were so stressed out in her classroom and instead of offering empathy/support and asking what she could do to make it easier, she just told them that they shouldn’t feel stressed in her classroom. But the biggest problem was she had an ADHD student in her classroom who would cry a lot and it hurt my heart to hear her yell at this kid to stop crying because they “were not in kindergarten” or not a baby. I spent the whole four months in this classroom disassociating. I could not do my job, because of how loud it was in there. And obviously if the teachers loud the students are going to be loud. Then to make matters worse, her kids were very behind and instead of taking responsibility and accountability for her classroom, she just called them lazy and didn’t know what was wrong with them. There’s more. But I think that’s enough for this review. I only want to speak on that specific classroom, not how it personally damaged me due to constantly disassociating in the classroom because my PTSD gets triggered just from hearing/seeing an adult yell at a child.

I do not like this place at all. #1 there’s teachers quitting every year.they took away pe. (at least for my grade) in my opinion.the counselors are very biased. I am always getting in trouble for the littlest stuff. There’s always so much bad stuff going on and they only want to worry about the little stuff.also the staff are always gossiping about students business. As I said, they’re real biased. They go off of what other students say and take that as your personality. I could go on but I’m going to stop there. I hate this school.
