Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden reviews
17This is the most beautiful place to get married! Our wedding was so magical because of how beautiful this garden is. Can’t be happier with how our photos turned out!
What a lovely little garden! I visited this garden a few weeks ago and had a very nice time. Walking, observing, sitting, and strolling. This place is quiet, peaceful and charming. I enjoyed feeding the koi fish, observing the turtles in the pond and viewing the beautiful lily pads and flowers. Unfortunately the tea house and gift shop was closed. The next time I visit, I will pack a little picnic, and stay a little longer. I'm looking forward when memberships are available again, so that I can visit often.
I went there with my family and I expected someplace way more interesting. Nice and quite place but too small and you’re gonna get some bug bites…
Such a lovely and wonderful place! Koi fish, turtles, as well as a ton of other fish come up to meet you when you stand at any of the two ponds' edges! Too bad today was way to hot (110°️) too really get the most outta my visit but, I will be back!
It is small place. Mis leading marketing when you ask them. Their answer is you can’t see the whole garden from here (you cannot because there is a tree in your between your view). It’s small place for how much they charge. Rather pay the same for Descanso garden. Oh and they have mosquitoes that bite the hell out of you! ️
This Japanese garden is so peaceful and beautiful, it's not that big but that's all you need for tranquility and peace, they also have a gift shop and they have koi fish and you can feed them with food they sell for them. I had a good time here I love it.
Storrier Stearns Japanese Gardens is a well hidden gem in S. West Pasadena. It's not big but the calm, beauty of the gardens, Koi ponds are well worth an hour or two for relaxation. While you visit take time to read a short summery of it's history and check out the little gift shop filled with Japanese culture items and some beautiful kimonos.
Beautiful Japanese garden with koi pond. We counted 3 turtles. We had a celebration of life here for a dear friend and it was perfect. Although at one point we had to ask the neighbor with a leaf blower to pause so we could share memories. Very nice place, would visit again.
Across the street from Arlington Garden.
Register online for $10. Walkin price is different.
I was already excited just seeing the door open welcoming visitors since they closed during covid time.
I felt i was transfering to a different realm and timezone when I saw the pond, koi fishes, turtles, statues, buddha, and everything else in that small Japanese Garden.
Good numbers of seating area, pick your spot.
Love Japanese Garden.
A rare surviving example of a pre-WWII Japanese garden, restored after years of neglect.
The garden is open to the general public on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday every week, and on the second and last Sunday of each month. Hours for every Open Day are 10 a.m. To 4 p.m
Reservation through the website is strongly recommend! Bring some snack to enjoy the peace
Their rules are absolutely ridiculous not sure what sort of regime this is. The whole reservation process through email is dated and a waste of time. And who even requires a booster shot on top of the two vaccines? For an outdoor garden? There’s many other gardens in Pasadena who aren’t this ridiculous do yourself a favor.
Was there for a friend's wedding! It is an amazing venue and I want to visit it later to just enjoy it's beauty
Very nice place to visit. The gift shop is so quaint and cute. The gardens are quite lovely. Feeding the fish is a plus.
I enjoyed the peaceful quiet time and the ponds, plants, & fish. I hope to go back in the Spring when the azeleas bloom.
Beautiful little Japanese style garden. Pro tip is bring a picnic to eat here and plan the visit around that.
Definitely use that group on Sundays to get in, almost 1/2 price entry for 2 or 4 depending upon your Groupon purchase.
