Strings Italian Cafe reviews
15 So so good- but I think I’ve done a review before- but it keeps asking me again.
Lasagne pastry the best!
My husband lived his chicken Alfredo. The minestrone was delicious as was the salad- much more than just lettuce and a few token veggies- and even the cheesecake was divine.
Best of all was our delightful server- what a nice experience. I forget why we haven been here in a long time. (Before this year).
My wife and I had been wanting to try Strings after moving here to Auburn from Southern California. Small restaurant with a pretty nice menu, nice atmosphere, friendly service. We both enjoyed our meal, generous portions, etc. Reasonable prices for a great meal, we will be back.
I recommend Strings Italian Restaurant on Bell Road. The food is excellent and not too expensive. The wait staff is friendly and competent. I am vegetarian and being an Italian Restaurant there are a lot of wonderful pasta dishes- Caprese Lasagna, Cheese, Artichoke or Mushroom Ravioli, Fetticini Milano, Penne De La Casa, Vegetable Pizza etc which are delicious, good for you and have no meat. I would give Strings a 5 star recommendation. I am a local Composer, Jazz Musician.
The place is nice, clean. I would have to say that the noddles were undercooked and the chicken could be seared a little bit more.
I come to Strings because I can always count on fresh bread, salad and amazing dishes. Love the atmosphere and staff. Always accommodating!

Price was good spaghetti with meatball salad and bread $17 with tax I tip $3 big meatballs. Total $20 for two.
Good food, good customer service. Slightly smaller proportions than expected but still good overall.
Real bummer. I should have suspected something when the guy with the man bun raced my family and I to get down the stairs, that this wouldn't be a good visit.
We got seated, got water and that was the end of it. People that came in after us had their order taken. The gal working was walking around but never asked us if we wanted appetizers, much less our meal. With a family of 5 and everyone hungry and the prices are what they are, we decided to take our business elsewhere. We had heard good things but it's real doubtful we will try that again.
The food is delicious (pasta and salad), restaurant is clean but service could've been better (dirty salad plates removed). To be fair, there was only one waitress and several tables, so she may have been too busy to deliver ideal service.
Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Staff were wonderful and friendly. I will definitely be back!
Although they changed their recipe decades ago, we still love their Tortellini Alla Panna. Salad (or soup) and bread come with the meal. We tried the fried zucchini appetizer this time and it was great+-crispy, well seasoned batter and juicy zucchini inside. I had a glass of prosecco to accompany my meal. Always recommend a stop at Strings!
We've been to several other Strings restaurants in the Sacramento area. This caused us to be hesitant to try this restaurant in auburn.
Glad we did. The God was good and the service was prompt. Very nice experience. That doesn't happen very often anymore.
The food was delicious, very well flavored, and good portion size.
The service was prompt and with a smile… I will definitely eat there again soon!
First visit, ordered the bruschetta. Took 20 minutes to arrive. Menu read pesto and garlic bread, not a speck of pesto on it (thankfully, the server offered to add the capers). As you can see by the picture, toppings were separate and I had to build my meal. It fell apart every time I took a bite; had to keep adding topping - too much work after a long day. No olives (?), no oil to drizzle over the bread. I've been to Italy; this place is the McDonald's version of Italian food. Will I go back?
NO WAY.
Enjoyed my tt. De-Anna, was awesome. Other patrons were fun and interesting. Food was fresh, every made to order.
