Strings Italian Cafe

I had the best experience here with the strings family. Best service and delicious food. All entrees with your choice of a soup or salad with an affordable price. May I dare say better than Olive Garden. I definitely recommend the baked duo with their homemade minestrone soup. Yummy.

I believe this is the last Strings Restaurant located in Sacramento.

I enjoy the artichoke ravioli with half marinara and half alfredo, a cafe bowl salad with house dressing and fresh baked bread with olive oil and vinegar.

They also have shrimp scampi, lasagna, spaghetti and calzones!

The service is outstanding and it's never crowded!

Tell a friend the food is consistent and they do not disappoint!

Avoid. I ordered two dishes — in one case (chicken) the portion was so small it was gone in a couple bites. Advertised asparagus was from a jar & in tiny bits. In the other case (salmon), I was eating around processed or raw parts. They are quick to defend against bad reviews and swear that the customer is who's always wrong. What they can't argue is the fact that their vegetables (served atop store-bought powdered mashed potatoes) were uncooked and starting to turn. Focaccia is OK but cold comfort after spending $40 on distasteful food. Something stinks in Carmichael.

Update, Feb 2023. Ordered the Pork Gorgonzola. Menu describes it as "Pan-seared medallions of pork tenderloin. " What they serve actually seems like a slice of pork loin, which is completely different in texture and tenderness. It's a little confusing and certainly wasn't what I was expecting. Everything else was satisfactory.

Update, June 2023. Arrived with large family group. Service was longer than usual. Food was not as tasty as before. Server did his best.

Delicious food- bread, salad, pasta, pizza, and more! - and the customer service is always amazing. Especially Mario's, one of the servers there. He was absolutely amazing and is always so nice.
Hardly ever any wait time, as well.

I’m so disappointed in this restaurant. It used to be so good. Not anymore. Last night we tried it again and now we are so done. My pork dish was so over cooked it was like leather and tasted like warmed over meat. Their salad used to be wonderful. Last night it was not so good. There was one cherry tomato cut in two, two croutons, a few raisins and lettuce. The dressing was still good. When we told them it wasn’t good they gave us a 10% discount. Whoopee! $3.95. I’m sorry but we won’t be back and we’ve been going there long before they moved. I know new ownership but…. The service was very good.

Over all for the end we paid $48 with tip $55. It's good for a little lunch soup and salad and the angel hair pasta and a couple of soda's It was good 1 - 10.10 being the best 7 no appetizer menu and the whole reason I when in there was for the appetizer menu of the artichoke that was on the menu before
