Community Center Strut reviews
33Strut is simply one of, if not the best, health clinics serving the whole San Francisco community with emphasis on LGBTQ needs. Everything about showing up there is respectful, thoughtful, professional. We are so fortunate in San Francisco to have the level of underwriting and endowment we do for this organization. No one refused services for an inability to pay. I must say I have nothing but admiration for the Strut team.
I've been getting services here for a few years now, and I wouldn't recommend any other place. Extremely grateful!
The nurse was very empathetic and compassionate. The staff is friendly and professional. I want to volunteer there.
Great place for Covid-19 Vaccine Moderna 95% effective against Infection. Other health related services offered. Clean safe, modern with elevator. Appt services only.
They are professional and very nice here. They deal with touchy subjects in a straightforward and honest manner.
Good for what people are in for. But some processes can be automated or streamlined. Quite amazing they can provide services for free.
Strut is a great LGBTQ Health-, Education-, Community- and Cultural Organization and Location in the heart of the Castro. The staff and volunteers here are reflecting the diversity of the community in a friendly and welcoming way. I like the open and welcoming spaces, especially the roof area with its terrace. The art gallery walls of the second floor lobby host the works of different community artists on a frequently changing rotation.
Strut is free, painless, and a no brainier for anyone queer. Their clinic can help you on almost any aspect of queer health; and the results make a great case for why we need public healthcare.
Amazing, friendly staff made my visit so much more pleasant and helped calm my anxiety about getting tested for HIV. This place is a special part of the Castro community and i appreciate the kindness of everyone making STRUT possible. It is truly necessary to have free and accessible sexual health services and this place is filling that need!
Very clean and accessible community space! Lots of great events promoting and celebrating local artists. Beautiful views from their 3rd story balcony. Bathrooms are fully accessible including sharps containers and an emergency call button (and gender neutral of course!) Love to see the care and planning that went into the facility. Will definitely attend future events with gusto!
Excellent free clinic to get tested for HIV and STIs. You have the express option to just get tested or the longer visit which includes seeing a professional to answer your questions/issues in addition to getting tested
You may want to just stop by and get your stash of free condoms and lube.
One of the best clinics i have been to, the people are absolutely friendly and exceptional except for one staff at the front desk on the second floor, i could not get his name, big belly, white beard and really bitter person.
Great place that holds great events. Love the disco ball hanging downstairs. They offer free condoms, lube, and other sexual health items that you can carry away in a funny Hot Dog bag!
Centrally located at Castro street. They give free services. If any ones likes to get tested and treated for HIV or ant STDs then just drop by, fix an appointment an voila.see the magic happening.
Strut at 470 Castro is an amazing men's health center. Friendly staff and access to support groups, HIV & Help testing, treatment and care, sexual health screening, counseling and much more.
Been going here for decades and the people are always so amazingly knowledgeable, friendly, and funny, and just so awesome. There's no other place quite like this.
And they are innovative. Every time I go, they have some new technology and/or process that speeds things along and makes it quicker and more efficient without losing that personal touch. Kudos to the entire staff for the decades of awesomeness.
Strut is a walk-in & prior appt. Gay men's HIV & other S. T. D.testing center, which has recently expanded service to provide testing for anyone - male or female. They also contain offices for other g.l. B.t. Service providers which include HIV & substance abuse programs & counseling.
Very well organized HIV, hepatitis C, and STI testing center serving primarily men who have sex with men. They also offer a number of preventive vaccinations. The physical facility is comfortable and state of the art. Personnel were all warm and courteous. Highly recommended.
I've been travelling the world, and visited many clinics and facilities in each city I visited. This clinic is top of my rank. Not only the space, location, services provided are ideal for its key population, staff are doing meaningful and wonderful works. If you are in San Francisco and needs to be taken care by someone who knows and cares, go to Strut. Did I say it's free? And did I say they have variety of activities for their community! Just go there and support them however you can.
As much as I would like to Love the place for what they do, they just have way too many unpleasant staff. I've been there many times and some staff are very short and impatient towards the patients.
If they are volunteers then why do seem to not like their job?
Management has to look into this or else more and more people will not support their cause.
