My experience hosting three 17 year old girls from France, was awesome! We have been hosting for 12 years! This has been the easiest company to work with! Actually it was my pleasure!

Rachel is my SRS contact for my hosting and she is very nice and always helpful. My experience in hosting students has always been good for many years. I guess I am just a people person who likes meeting new people of all ages. Getting to know others and the cultures that come from is very educational for both the students and myself. Being a SRS host has been great. Thanks Rachel.

I have to say it is a pleasure to host for SRS especially having Rachel Schwarcz as my local manager. Rachel is always there for any questions or concerns regarding my student (s). She is a great person, easy to talk to and resolves any issues with ease. The student I have now and in the past all have been respectful young students that are eager to learn.

Very good and safe option specially if it is the first time coming to study at the US as a foreign student.
Rachel Schwarcz as my local manager in NYC has been exceptional, all of my concerns and needs were addressed and helped me any time I needed it.
I've been staying with host over 1 year and it's been nice, the match with this family was just what I needed. The location and distance to my school is reasonable, and the neighborhood is nice and safe.

I had positive experience with Student Room Stay. Also, I always had sufficient support from the local SRS manager, Rachel. My host Irena was also very nice with me.

I am an international student. It was my first time in Chicago so I was so worried. But, Ms. Rachel, the SRS manager, constantly answered and addressed all my concerns. Thanks to her I've had the best experience with a lovely and friendly host, Teresa, in a pleasant safe environment. It was less than 20 minutes walk to my institute and I had both my private room and amazing people to hang out with. I've made lifetime friends and best memories from my experience. We grew plants, cooked, talked, went sightseeing and had a lot of fun together. I enjoyed a lot and couldnot ask for more, it was the best and of course completely affordable.

As a host Mother, I am extremely satisfied with the consistency and prompt response regarding support from Rachel Schwartz, the managing agent for my international exchange students. She is easy to communicate with, helpful, professional and compassionate.

Rachel is by far the most professional person I have worked with. Her attention to details in regards to each student and host family is top notch!

I always have a pleasant experience working with Rachel and StudentRoomStay. Rachel is easy to get in touch with and returns my calls promptly. Any concerns are addressed effectively and efficiently.

I being trying to finish my application but I have some questions and I had email and send messages through their up and no response, I am afraid this company is not legit. I looks for it on the better bb and didn't find it

I worked with Chelsea through the process. In the beginning, Chelsea explained the application process via their online website, what to expect, timelines, next steps, etc. She was very hands-on in the beginning ensuring all of my personal information was received, including pictures of the outside of my home, photos of the student's room, and pictures of the entire inside of my house (excluding the master bedroom). I received consistent reminders (at least two reminders a week) throughout the process. There was a rush to get all of my information submitted, which I turned around within ~5 days. Once she revived all of my personal information via their online website, she then asked me to do a background check.
She confirmed all of my information was received, and there’s nothing else needed at this time from me. The final step was hearing if the student's family approved me as a host parent.
This final step is where everything went in a bizarre and unfortunate direction. I didn’t hear anything from Chelsea for a week. I texted Chelsea and called her multiple times to no avail. Chelsea replied a few days later only to inform me there was a delay with the student arriving in the Bay Area, which made sense considering everything going on in the world. Once again, I did the follow-up ~ 7 days later, only to be told there’s still a delay. At this point, I started thinking I got scammed and my identity was compromised, so I decided to follow up again. I clarified the next steps, and she said she was waiting for the family to approve me as a host. I was perplexed; I assumed the family had already approved me as a host. I never heard back from Chelsea. This was definitely frightening, considering identity theft was a possibility. Very sad.
Unfortunately, based on this unfortunate experience and the compromising of my personal information, I am unsure if there is a legit business.

We have hosted multiple students. SRS has been a great partner and we look forward to hosting many more in the future. What a great experience.

This team was very helpful and kind throughout my entire experience. I had about a million questions at the beginning and they answered all of them!

If you enjoy hosting international students, or want to try it, I highly recommend using SRS.

Beware the contract. SHS has no obligation to pay you according to the contract. When the school fails to pay, as happened to us, then SHS will not pay.

American Homestay Network is bad. American Homestay Network is only on host side.
They don't help students from house host.

Even, they put words into my mouth.
They are professional at attributing their faults to students.
They are professional at playing dumb to defend homestay host.
Especially in California.
