Studios at the Hotel Berry, Sacramento CA

It’s Roach Hotel! I hate living here but feel trapped! I’ve lived here since June 2020 and in those 2 years and 6 months there HAS NOT BEEN A MONTH WITHOUT A COCKROACH UN MY ROOM! They call them studios, what a joke it’s a SRO Single Room Occupancy like in The Tenderloin. The refrigerator they provide is only waste high with no freezer, there’s 2 electric burners and a microwave, which limits what you eat. It is only better than sleeping on the sidewalk, actually I so didn’t want to come home, when out and about yesterday, I considered sleeping on a park bench!
Everyone here is low income and a lot of people seem to have mental health issues as do I. This place will give you mental health issues

Way too much micromanaging from the front desk regarding residents having guests over

They do not pay their service contractors. Called us for an emergency
repair. We did the work, then they stiffed us, refusing to pay for the service
because they sprung ridiculous insurance requirements up, after they
authorized the work

Hello Everyone. This place is HORRIBLE! I was visiting a friend and i was appalled at how much it reminds me of meatballs the movie. Everyone knows a little about everything but not enough about some things to be professionally sound or trusted. And the tenants all treat each other like sh°°. Also I noticed an extremely negative vibe with staff. I mean what is this employee thinking that shes going to get time and a 1/2? At the tenants expense. My friends are so miserable here at the hotel berry they want to leave or at least be moved elsewhere. I mean we are talking about homeless veterans. Does she realize that her job description doesnt say STALKING, THREATS AND OVER ACTIVE TONGUE DIESNT MAKE FIR A WONDERFUL EMPLOYEE. No it doesnt, matter of fact people are being bossed around like 12 year old kids. Not everyone is out of touch. The staff here are extremely judgement. They are rude and have been the cause of mosr fights. I could go on about this but i will just review when i feel necessary. When i think people and thier rights are violated. Like now. A big ABSOLUTELY NOT a good move in. Not.
