We had a party of 5 on a Sunday afternoon. Drinks and apps were delivered quickly and we were impressed by the many diverse options. We decided to stay for dinner. While we ordered fairly quickly, we had to ask a server (not ours) how much longer the wait was because we had been waiting over 45 minutes. I'll give Sudwerk another shot because the food was so delicious, hopefully the slow service is not typical.

Love that sudwerk is back! We rode our bikes here (from Sacramento relatively often). I love the updated outdoor space, new restaurant space is cool.

The people’s Pilsner is fantastic, I’m sure the other stuff is good too but I appreciate when brewers excel at Pilsner since it’s way harder to make a great Pilsner than a sweaty ipa, hazy or dipa

Revamp restaurant area, now also set in cocktails. The food was good, ad my wife enjoined the burger. I had trouble with the fish and chip as I was expecting something more traditional, but overall it was OK. The cocktails were also good, although there could be some improvement. In general, glad to see that the place is doing well, ande should definitely sponsor it.

Hands down my favorite spot in Davis for a good bite and brew. Food is excellent and there is something for everyone. The ambiance is great and I love the outdoor patio with all the fun games. Oh! And the beer is literally world class…their Pilsner has won best beer (gold metal) two years in a row at the Great American Beer Competition. So proud to be able to boast that this is my home town brewery.

Server Heidi made the trip worthwhile all on her own. Good menu revamp as well. Don’t go all IPA, stay a lager house as well. We beg of you!

I really like the vibe of this place. It was a very welcoming atmosphere and I love the trivia and all the wait staff was really attentive and nice. Our waitress was able to give us a lot of information about the dishes we were interested in and the food was some of the best I've tasted in a while. The cider I had was also really good. I will definitely come back when I return. I'm really glad I was able to get some stickers also because I collect them on my travels. Overall it's a really nice place with great food, great atmosphere, it is slightly pricey, but for what we got I was not at all disappointed or dissatisfied. Also, I love simple menus! There was just enough for it to be diverse but it was really easy to find something I liked. I highly recommend this place!

We rented out a room at Sudwerks for our event. It was a beautiful room that held about 20 people comfortably. We had wonderful service from the waiter Lupita and all of the staff was kind and flexible. Craig was the event manager and he was very easy to work with. Would definitely hold an event here again.

Food and beer were good. I wish there were more vegetarian options, but they had some decent ones. The shishito peppers were great and there were a lot in the order. Really wanted to try the pesto deviled eggs, but they were sold out unfortunately. Service was great, really nothing to complain about at all. Great stop on the way back from Sacramento to the North Bay.

Horrible experience… Beer was okay. We ordered food and never got it. We would ask our server for our food after waiting for over 1 hour and she never brought it to us. We gave up and just left.

I know how great this place can be, food runners - amazing, even management at start was great, but this time - worst server ever. The three tables with no drinks for a long time, the management should have helped us. Finally flagged a different server, and we were all able to close out. Please coach or remove this server - just check the tips to know who she was. And shame on management for not saying anything to us (she didn’t apologize for the wait or even lack of follow-up after food was brought out). I’ll be back - it’s definitely worth it. I’ll ask for a different server if she’s assigned or I’ll leave.

I had lunch here and it was delicious! I had the Fish and chips with a cool beer. I believe the fish was Salmon sitting in the middle of guacamole dip sauce. It was so delicious I wish there was a larger portion. The chips were those thick crunchy type. The beer was tasty, I just don't remember the name. They have so many beers to pick from. They have your hard drinks and wines too. The bathrooms were very clean. Parking lot is big with some of the spaces shaded with an overpass.

On Sudwerk's large patio with screens showing the live women's World Cup match, we heard lots of enthusiasm for soccer, games, brews, and food. Their fresh salads are great and light, but many people enjoyed food from fryers, like a variety of crispy potatoes and chicken.

Like so many other patrons of the previous Sudwerk German themed restaurant/brewery we were very excited to see them reopen. Realizing it had a drastic change in theme and decor we didn't expect it to be anything like the previous. The old restaurant had what I would say was mediocre food towards the end but the fresh beer was always the reason we went. Our lunch today was dissapointing at best. Very limited menu, fried chicken sandwich was huge but dry, wife's flat iron steak with fries was very, very rare. Both plates came with a mountain of fries, maybe to make up for lack of quality in the entrées. Marzen and Pilsner beer were still good but unfortunately not worth our trip there.
The positive side is we were very well greeted and served by friendly employees.
We really hope management listens to the many dissatisfied customers like us and get a better choice of offerings.

We brunched at Sudwerk this Sunday and were generally impressed. We are Woodland residents and have not been for a few years. The remodel opens up the inside area, very "clean" in looks and design. Needs finishing touches to make it feel a little less sterile, but lots of space both inside and out.

Our food for 3 adults and 3 children came out together, served hot and just as ordered. Chorizo beni was very good. Short rib hash fell a touch short but had nice flavors. In both cases, I wish potatoes were cut smaller to give more texture, but flavors were good. Beers we tried were gunrock hazy and the peoples pilsner, both very good. Unfortunately they were out of Marzen and also root beer. The manager pointed out they were brewing a fresh batch of Marzen to be ready soon. Slight bummer for us. Our server was new but nailed her service. Manager was also present, checked in. All in all, we enjoyed the new improvements at Sudwerk!

The renovation looks pretty good! They've got the clean, airy feel with the toupe walls and dark trim, the exposed AC ducts, and the stained concrete like most places you see nowadays. They're really pushing the outdoor "beergarten" vibe with the upgraded patio that you walk through to get in. Inside, the table and chair format replaced the booths. I do kind of miss the cushy booths, but the beer never misses, the staff is friendly, and the food is consistently very good. A Davis, CA landmark. Check it out.
