Sul & Beans reviews
17Tried the Choux cream toast which was perfectly toasted. The choux cream was lightly sweet. I wish I had asked to drizzle some sweet cream to make the roast a bit sweeter. Tried the strawberry bigsoo which was ok; could use more strawberry sauce. The Matcha Latte has full on matcha flavor with some bitter aftertaste. They cannot adjust the sweetness but it's on the lesser side of sweet so it's ok. You can make it sweeter by adding more sugar which is available to customers in little packets. Relaxing atmosphere. Nice staff and quick service.
5! Sul & Beans is a culinary gem in the Bay Area, and their delectable Mango Bingsoo stands out as a captivating masterpiece. Nearly securing the title of the second-best in the region, each spoonful unveils a delightful symphony of textures and flavors. The shaved ice is a canvas for the lush mango goodness, creating a refreshing harmony that lingers on the taste buds. Sul & Beans has mastered the art of frozen indulgence, making it a must-visit for those seeking a taste of perfection in every spoonful.
Attractive desserts and nice sitting area. There aren’t many sit down dessert places in the South Bay so it’s welcome to see a place like Sul & Beans.
I ordered a green tea bingsoo. It's ok but not satisfied with the salty taste of red beans and mochi.
I had a very light lunch, came here to meet up with friends for dessert. It’s such a light and refreshing dessert. The mango is in season, that’s what I ordered. I ended up finishing the whole thing, I was worried that I couldn’t! Again, a light and refreshing choice.
Good fine ice shavings that's fine enough to be snow ice, powdery ice that is fluffy. The red bean topping is flavorful. I had the matcha and was a bit disappointed that the matcha powder was only on the top surface and not mixed into all the ice. The ice cream on the bottom is a nice surprise.
Sul & beans has been one of the only bingsu spots in the bay area and therefore became one of my favorite dessert places in the last five years.they have a variety of fruit and flavored bingsu as well as toasts.there is a decent amount of inside seating.order at the counter, get a buzzer, and pick up your bingsu when it is ready-wait is always pretty short (<10 minutes). I've gotten takeout once during the pandemic but trust me it is way better in person in a bowl.portion is perfect for two people to share.surprisingly, the price hasn't gone up as much as i thought it would.very generous portions of fruit.i really enjoy the mango bingsu which is covered with fresh mango as well as the fresh strawberry bingsu.the cheese version has cubs of a cheesecake dessert.the ice is very light, not much flavor or maybe subtle milk flavor, but there are pieces of fruit dispersed throughout it and condensed milk which gives it more flavor and sweetness.i've been here more than five times and definitely will come back again!
I'm actually really upset with Injeoulmi toast. It was dry and hard. I've never had this bad quality of Injeoulmi toast in my life. And also one of the employee was super ridiculous. I told him this is too hard and cold, and he told me it's edibleㅋㅋㅋㅋ If this company want to copy 'Sulbing' which is real Korean dessert cafe, at least don't mess up. I would not recommend this cafe to anyone.
What is better than bingsu in this hot and semi humid weather! This place offers a great selection of bingsus and sweet toasts. Tried 3 of their varieties - choco, black sesame and ijeolmi bingsus, they tasted okay but lacking that sweet condensed milk taste in the ice which makes the dishes taste a little bland. May come back to try the other selections and give this place a second chance but not anytime soon.
Mango bingsu was okay. I also had strawberry bingsu but was little bland for me. If you want to try Korean bingsu then it’s a good option but I dont think I will visit again
Price ranges from $10.50-$13 and can serve 4 people. The ones with condensed milk are good as are the ones with fresh fruit.
The milky shaved ice itself was great. There are several options of flavors. We tried taro one, and the taste was just okay. It's mostly taro powder.
Love the strawberry and chocolate flavors! One bingsoo is easily shareable between 2 people but it’s so tasty that you might not want to share!
Tried out Sul & Beans for the first time for some Korean bingsoo.
The three of us ordered 2. One strawberry and one injeolmi. Wasn't too sweet. Nothing too special. I've had better elsewhere. They do have other items on their menu as well that might be better.
Seating layout is an absolute mess. Chairs/tables are close to neighbors, so it is a pain to go in and out.
Located in Main Street, parking is a bit of a hassle.
We had the chocolate bingsu. It was delicious and not too sweet. It was ready fairly quickly.
However, a bit pricey for what it is.
Matcha toast is over cooked plus the mochi is cold and dry
questioned the waiters
resolution is refund
said will redeem the cost at a later time
still didn’t refund after a week
went to the store again
finally refunded
It's a bit expensive, $15 for a binsoo, but the quality and taste is always good and I enjoy getting my desert here
