Decent apt complex to live at but before you decide to live here, just know you will never see your deposit back because they will charge the entire apt remodel bill to you. Make sure you do a thorough walk around because they will mark anything that is not crisp perfect and say you did the damage.

Absolutely the worst management of any apartment I’ve lived in. Set my move in date to a day when there was no access to the parking lot because of resurfacing. Takes weeks or months to get to maintenance requests. There was a gaping hole in the wall of one building for six months that looked like a car had crashed into it. Lied about their ability to reverse late fees. When the pavement needed resurfacing, they called the police on their own tenants for parking in the fire lane, but did not provide any alternative parking (street parking is illegal in this area). Pedestrian gates are always broken. Yet when it comes to money, they slap you with fees and threats of eviction the moment you’re late.

Summer Place management is the epitome of Walmart customer service. I have never dealt with such a disrespectful management before. The water is constantly being shut off the pool was disgustingly dirty during the summer and too gross to use, all but one of the gym equipment has been broken for over a year and the sauna doesn’t work. The walls are incredibly thin and I can hear my upstairs neighbor snore and flush her toilet. Don’t move in here and waste your hard earned money.

Management is wildly unprofessional and the property is constantly under construction with no end in sight. When you attempt to get answers from Management, they're never in the office and the property Management company doesnt respond. If you move here, be prepared to be endlessly antagonized by a non responsive property Management company. Also prepare to recieve parking tickest and get your car towed with no alternative to park near your home.

Been here over two years. Nice complex if it weren’t for management. Change in property management shortly after COVID hit and that’s when things went downhill. The newest reviews are spot on. New property management is rude, disrespectful, non-responsive, generally unpleasant to deal with. Gated complex with gates left open, water shut offs were ridiculous, getting rude with residents over management’s problems. Management thinks because they “weren’t there yesterday”, yesterday being a day they were open, that everything is okay. Heard that line twice now as an excuse for lack of communication, proper follow-up, repairs not getting done. Currently paying for a 2 bedroom 2 bath but really getting a 1.5 bath due to lack of repairs. Been renting apartments for over two decades with some bad management along the way but this is bad management combined with a bad and nasty attitude. Perhaps they don’t understand people actually live here, and pay good money for it. You can tell in these reviews when management changed, they stopped responding to reviews. If you move here I recommend documenting everything.
Edit: One year later downgraded to 1 star. Management has not improved in any way and continues to behave unprofessional, will be looking elsewhere once lease expires.

This apt complex has no respect for their tenants. They're doing road work which has caused a massive parking problem. The manager Kayla allegedly cleared it with surrounding businesses to let us park in their lots, but today these businesses told us that this is not the case. Conveniently, Kayla took a vacation during the week that this work was to be done so she wouldn't face backlash from angry tenants who have no where to park in a complex they pay money to be in. They also called the cops and tow trucks on people who were forced to park in the red zone due to their parking being made unavailable. This is not the only incident where Kayla has shown blatant disregard and disrespect towards tenants and it won't be the last. Poor planning/ management and unprofessionalism are commonplace at this complex. I know California rental market is hot so this review won't really matter and this complex will see a lot of business, but I urge you to read the reviews of other people and really consider not staying here especially if Kayla continues to be the manager. We have had numerous issues at this complex and will be looking elsewhere when our lease expires.

If you have kids and you have the misfortune of living next door to a psychotic neighbor who is a danger to them, this complex won't do anything about it. The only thing Kayla will do is wait for that person's lease to expire.
