Summer Summer Thai Eatery, Emeryville CA

My go-to place for Thai food in the area. From dining in to take out and delivery, I've enjoyed every dish I've tried. The best value and variety, in my opinion, is the curry à trois. The Khao Soi is also delicious and worth a try for a traditional Northern Thai dish.

Fantastic! I had given up on getting quality Thai food West of San Pablo Ave. Summer Summer has proven me wrong. Perfectly prepared. Not oily or greasy. Tasty and filling and perfectly spiced.
I will be coming here regularly. Super Good!

One of my go to Thai spots in the bay! Great environment and the food is incredible. Try their yellow curry, pad Thai, fried rice and their famous corn fritters!

Great little place, fast service for lunch in a work day. Reasonable pricing. Food was great, just me ordered something too spicy for myself. Next time would like to try the salmon curry.

This is one place I eat almost once a week. Being a vegetarian it's difficult sometimes to get good food but this place has very good vegetarian options particularly spicy fried rice, pineapple rice, veggie rolls, summer roles are to die for. Nice ambience, I mostly do takeout. Their red veggie Curry is also very good and good proportions. They also have a bar and variety of cocktails. Can go with friends or a date.

Food is ALWAYS fantastic.service is always consistent. It my go to Thai restaurant in the Bay Area.

They're so kind and attentive, definitely reminds me of how 'service' was thought of before our descending into general meanness.

The food is always EXCELLENT and they have GREAT cocktails that aren't $15-20 with like zero alcohol like soo many places post covid.

They're great about dietary restrictions and menu changes. And they usually remember after 1 visit which is insanely rare nowadays!

This place has terrible service. If you want to wait around for a table and then never get service, this is a great spot for you.

I purchased the mango and sticky rice and 3 other delicious treats. After purchase the cashier told me I couldn't wait there and come back in 20mins I Took a seat next to a Dasher since it was plenty of seats available. Then the lady preparing items behind the bar at the front door question what did I want and I kindly said I just ordered and showed the receipt her reply was come back when it's ready my reply was I'm more comfortable waiting With a big smile and not rude she then went to the kitchen and told them something so a gentleman came out the back, I showed my receipt and bought a few more items to lighten up the tension. Shortly after the purchase the Gentleman brought me the items I thanked him and showed my receipt again from my first order reminding him that I am still waiting for my first order. The Lady behind the bar asked why I haven't left yet and I felt so Out Of Place And Uncomfortable I explained that my first order was not received, She then went to the Back again and 3 Staff members came out Including the cashier and the Gentleman who brought me the second order, I explained and he went to the back and bagged half my items and handed to me to leave lucky a young Lady from the back brought out the other half of my order The Gentlemen re bagged my order And I thanked them. Went last night for a friends birthday, we ended up walking out the service was so bad. Id stay away from this place.

We had a reservation at 7: 30pm on Saturday 08/05/2023 for 5 people for my brothers birthday. We walked in at 7: 35pm (5 minutes late) and were greeted quickly and told just a few minutes.

At 7: 53pm, we were still not seated - I walked the restaurant to check if their was even an open table, as I was doing this, one of the female servers pointed out the table and said we could go ahead and sit down. She didn't walk us to the table, she pointed in the corner towards the table and wanted us to walk ourselfs to the table.

After sitting down, for ~10 minutes, no one greeted us. Finally the same female server brought us waters and said 5 minutes. I voiced up and said can we at least order some drinks? At this point we are ~35 minutes past the reservation time and still don't even have drinks on the table.

We waited another ~10 minutes, still no drinks or anything. We got up and walked out at this point and went to The Branch Line Bar next door, walked in, sat right away, and despite the establishment being busy, received drinks quickly, and food appropriately.

This is a shame for Summer Summer, despite suppose to have such good food, the service is an absolute disgrace.

Lovingly prepared Thai/fusion food, plentiful offerings, beautiful plating of familiar food. Much appreciated by myself and all the people I've dined with.

Summer Summer was quite an experience! The food was absolutely wonderful. I had the Curry A Trois, a selection of green, yellow, and red curries. Each were absolutely delicious.
