Sunken Gardens reviews
15This mini park in front is absolutely beautiful with a water fountain in the middle. Inside of City Hall is old pictures when the town first started. Across the street at La Plaza is a new building that has construction going on and the outside is almost a replica of City Hall. A few more months it shall be completed with apartments on the third floor, and retail shops and an Italian Restaurant according to Atascadero News.
There's a great burger shop, and coffee shop on each side. Festivals, and farmers markets. Cute little spot.
Lovely fountain in a yard of grass. The grounds were clean. Nothing sunken and no gardens. I had a nice walk around town. There was a car show with some vintage Volvo. It might be better in Farmer market day
Saturday movie night at the park, free. Farmers market on Wednesday. Plenty of food and drink options within waking distance.
On a Saturday afternoon hardly anyone there, I think there are to many homeless people in the area and people don't feel comfortable coming to the sunken gardens, especially if they have kids.
It is nicer than it used to be in the 80s and 90s. And the recent building additions on El Camino Real that face the old Rotunda building really look good.
Wonderful place to stop and have lunch. Perfect place to park and explore downtown atascadero, it may be small but it's got a great feel
This is a great place to buy local produce and support the local community. Thanks Alvin Owner of Gracious Greens for the awesome Micro Greens! Check it out.
I went for farmers market. Unfortunately, they aren't anywhere near full capacity so I was a little bummed. Try again next week
Speaking for my Dog it is a great place to meet new friends. Plus playing catch with my frisbee at the park is a good experience. Wish more friends would check it out.
Beautiful site, really enjoyed visiting it. Homeless guy was urinating in a bush nearby tho. Still that's not the gardens fault
Beautiful place for photos or a blanket on grass picnic lunch. Enjoy the many fountains but nothing else to do. There are no gardens it is misleading.
Ax very relaxed park in the middle of town where you can go eat lunch at bring your kids and pets too theirs is a water fountain in the center of the park nice and friendly people for the most part
It's well kept and clean. They work hard to keep the homeless and the Transients from bothering you.
BEAUTIFUL, best way to spend a lunch hour! The sound of the fountain, the cool green grass, city hall. I love seeing happy dogs out with their humans.
