Sunny Donuts, Chula Vista CA

I never leave bad reviews for restaurants unless they are disrespectful to me. A few days ago I went to buy some donuts for my classmates. I got to the place and the first thing the person at the front said was something rude about my appearance. I think it is unacceptable to judge someone by how they look and start being “funny” about it. She apologized because she saw how mad I was and said “You know I’m joking right? ” Never coming to this place again and the donuts were dry and old.

I’ve been a customer at this location for over 10 years and so has my family. In the past few months, she has changed, she has become rude in meany ways. I think it’s time she retired from the shop. Yesterday was the las day for me at this location. I went in yesterday around 6ish in the morning got some donuts for my coworkers and some ham&cheese croissants, got to work and the donuts tasted super dry (a day old) and the ham and cheese croissant didn’t even have the cheeses (what a scam) I was very upset and disappointed. I wasn’t the first time with the donut tasting old but I’m done with this location. I’m no longer coming back.

Bad donuts. Dry, stale and tasted like they were day old. Paid $7.35 for 3 donuts. Not worth the money.

Got 2 donuts and 12 donut holes. None were bad or dry, but none tasted like they’d been made within the last 24 hours.

I went to get a dozen like always donuts are good. I got home got 2 butter milks and one of them was either bitten or pinched I called her all I told her about the if she can replace it she said I NO that she made a 1,000 donuts and had no complaints I was respectful and all I wanted is to replace it.she said she was busy and had customers.

Absolutely delicious, love their whipped cream filled donuts, in strawberry, chocolate, or vanilla

Is it REALLY that BIG of a deal to pick the donut you want?

I asked when the donuts were made and with a smug attitude the woman replied "last year. "

I ordered a chocolate cover donut because they looked fresh but she intentionally gave me one that looked outdated.

I already bought the old one so I asked to buy a fresh one also but she REFUSED. She still had 3 more old ones to get rid of first.

Also the sensor for the door when you walk in is set by the regrister and keeps going off while you are making a purchase. So nerve racking.

This is the best place in all of the San Diego area to purchase donuts. They stay open late till 10pm and the donuts are unbelievably fresh late at night. I was there at 9pm and sat at a table to eat my fresh donuts. I was amazed how many people were stopping by to purchase donuts at that time of the night. I just wish that I would have found this place sooner.

Small local business with great product! Flavor and quality can be found in their delicious donuts and an excellent variety. Product is always fresh. Their coffee is good and they have a couple of outside tables. Take a break and enjoy a sweet treat!

Great donuts! Friendly staff and good coffee. My favorites are the apple fritters, cheese Danish, and ham and cheese croissants.

Donuts were extremely STALE. Bought them for my neice and nephew for a.m. Treat. What a disappointment.

I went yesterday to purchase donuts for my kids, In the process of standing there to get charge for my donuts we saw a cockroach crawling up right next to the donut trays. When I brought it up to the clerk she made a comment of "They come out when it's hot" and killed it. At that point she continued to want to charge me. If it was up to us we would give it negative stars.

They're donuts. And, they're, um. Sunny. Not a whole lot of complexity here, you know? The people are really nice, and seem happy that you're there. The donuts are fresh, and. Donuty.
