I have great confidence in Dr. Sun. She’s thorough and great about explaining the health of your eyes. She’s also good about working with you to adjust your prescription to your specific needs.

Dr. Sun and staff are wonderful. Dr. Sun makes u feel comfortable and she is great at her job.

Very thorough exam and all staff are extremely professional. Dr. Sun is warm and personable and very reassuring. She explains everything in detail, and yet stays on schedule. I was in and out in an hour including full exam and selecting and ordering new glasses.

Extremely knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. Family vacation with high Rx glasses lost in the ocean. Dr. Sun was extremely helpful, kind, and empathetic.

While my son was on a school trip to CA, he experienced issues with his eyes. When Sunny Optometry was contacted, they quickly made time to see him. I’m almost certain he saw Dr Phan. She was great with him and communicated with me (Mom) about his diagnosis. The doctor also contacted me the next day to check on him. As a mom, being in NC and son in CA, I appreciate the care given and the follow up. Excellent service!

Dr Phan was thorough, attentive and caught a condition a previous doctor had missed as I came to Dr Phan for a second opinion and luckily she caught something in a timely manner. Highly recommended!

I went here to get only a contacts prescription. It ended up costing me 100+ even with insurance. They put a hold on my insurance so I couldn’t use it anywhere else but with them! I had to call them to remove it. That is insane. They were really pushy about buying from them and didn’t want to give me a printed prescription. One of their intake forms is literally a page to write down your credit card number and sign away authorizing all charges. I have never seen that before. Very sketchy business practices.

Dr Sun is kind, thorough, and so knowledgeable. She’s great and I highly recommend her and the very cool frames the office has.

Sunny Optometry is a wonderful optometry office in Santa Monica. Doctors here are amazing! The staff there is super nice and always providing great service and attention to their customers. I haven't done an eye exam in a few years and the whole process at Sunny office was very easy and fun and painless. I picked out my glasses with the help of the staff. Didn’t have to wait to see the doctor or to be helped by the staff! The glasses are great and I think my vision is so much clearer than before. Highly recommend Sunny Optometry!

I started wearing glasses since I was 9 and now I'm in my 30s, so let's just say I've seen plenty of optmetrists (from school providers, to private offices, to Costco opt, & medical offices). Sunny is by far my favorite and the one I plan to stick with. Called to make an appointment and staff was efficient, got something onto my calendar seamlessly. As soon as I walked in a week later, I can tell how much pride Dr. Sun has for her office. Office shone radiantly and all the shelves and cases were spotless. Definitely not the dingy offices I've experienced and particularly important during covid times. Staff was pleasant, checked me in and minutes later I was met by Dr. Sun. Dr. Sun is very personable and VERY thorough. I was concerned about an eye condition that I could have inherited, and she recorded my med history and went into great length on explaining which equipment and how she will monitor/potentially diagnosis me for this. I never felt rushed during the process and I left knowing I'm in capable hands in the long run.

Btw, if you're looking for trendy, in fashion glasses, this is the place to be. They have the newest frames and they can customize lens. Since I'm near-sighted in one eye and far in the other, one of my lens is always thicker. Dr. Sun recommended me a thinner type lens to help balance them out. Also added blue light protection since I'm on the computer all day.

Dr Sun is excellent……smart, friendly, caring and no nonsense! I am happy to have her as my Optomitrist now that Dr Weintraub has left. I had the utmost respect for him and I think Dr Sun will definitely be an equal replacement! I recommend her very highly!

Having been a long-time patient of Dr Weintraub's I was hesitant to go to a new eye doctor so it took me some time before I went to see Dr. Sun and after seeing her for the first time this last week I can't believe there was any hesitation. The staff was wonderful, very kind and helpful and Dr. Sun herself was GREAT! She is super smart and it was clear that she took the time before my exam to read through my files, so she'd be familiar with my history before we even met. I'm so glad I went to see her and can't wait for my husband to go see her!

It was a very efficient, expert exam. I felt confident with Dr Sun and she patiently answered all my questions. For someone who doesnt like going to the eye dr I was very pleased with the experience. The staff was also patient and nice.

Dr. Sun and her staff are wonderful - friendly, accommodating, and caring. Their technology is far more advanced than other offices I am accustomed to, and combined with Dr. Sun’s knowledgeable, patient-centered care, I always feel extremely well taken care of. I highly recommend her!

I wish I could give no stars. They charged me 85$ for an exam even though my insurance covered it. They charged me 190$ for a second prescription and attempted to inflate the bill with enhancements I didn't request, totaling 800$. I was told I would receive a receipt via email. I didn't receive one. When I called the office they said they were too busy. Do not go here. There are hundreds of others to choose from.

Dr Sun is a fantastic doctor! She is extremely thorough, kind and professional. I know I’m getting the best possible care with Dr Sun. She follows up to make sure problems are emoticons and her staff is friendly!

Dr. Deese is great a doctor! She makes having an eye exam enjoyable and explains everything thoroughly, so I really understand how to care for my eyes and vision. And the whole staff is friendly and knowledgeable, as well. Thank you everyone at Sunny Optometry!
