Sunnylands Center & Gardens reviews
24A lovely walk around the garden and a look at the historical film and a perusal of the gift shop, all for free. Definitely worth a stop.
An amazing beautiful, peaceful haven. The gardens and house are great, we couldn't get a tour of the main house and garden, but it would be worth it on another trip. The cafe was fantastic and we had a reasonable coffee on the patio looking out onto the tranquil garden. A true gem.
Outstanding desert gardens, exhibits and tours. Wonderful, peaceful and welcoming place. You can feel the intent of this place’s founders. Harmony and progress is born here. Enjoy you visit.
Just a beautiful garden to visit. My favorite was the small labyrinth to walk. And of course if you you get a chance, stop by the cafe for a salad or sandwich and enjoy it in their outdoor sitting.
Note: My cell (t-mobile) didn't have reception there, so I would suggest that you get connected to the cafe wifi so that at least you'll be able to use your messaging system.
Beautiful gardens and museum at historic estate which has hosted many national and international celebrities. Lots of art and architecture on display, but doesn't take all day. Convenient from Palm Springs and Indio. Get a taste of international diplomacy.
Showed up today just now to the gate, and it’s randomly closed. Positive we are at the right place. No info on website about it being closed. No one to call that’s on-site. Help
It's a very calming place to spend time with the family. The best part is they offer yoga & Tai Chi for free for the public.
Beautiful, peaceful landscaped estate, open to the public wishing to explore the desert gardens prior to attending an exhibition or an event that at times requires paying a fee. Gift to the community.
What a lovely place to visit in Palm Springs! The exhibits are great and the gardens have little knooks for you to sit in the shade with some privacy. I recommend visiting the inside during the hottest time of day since it's gloriously air conditioned!
Fabulous! One of the highlights of our visit to Palm Springs! The visitors center is excellent, very well curated, informative, and pleasent. The professionaly landscaped/xeriscaped grounds by Landscape Architect James Burnett are gorgeous! Succulents and cacti have never looked more beautiful. The garden design is an eye-opener. Please try this at home!
Took the kids for a special day out. Walked the beautiful gardens, saw a video and learned a ton of American history. The photography exhibit of birds that visit the site was gorgeous! Stop at the cafe for a treat on the way out!
One of the highlights of our trip. Great calming garden and small museum. Thank you for not charging to visit. Next time hopefully we can do the house tour.
Beautiful gardens. A great place to have coffee and lunch after walking the premises. Garden is free. Estate tour is not. Watch the movie for free every hour and half hour.
Free parking and entry to the gardens and art exhibit! Beautiful grounds and plenty of staff available to answer questions. You do need advanced reservations to see the home and other tours
This is a great place to learn about the history and special place for the higher powers to be of the USA.
The main house viewing is booked out for months so we were not able to see that. We were able to see a few images and videos of the art work, decor and life of the land.
The property is breath taking in the time and consideration of each piece of art, being every aspect of any object.
Below is the model map and one of the pools, it ever so slightly evenly poured over the edges making a nice water sound. I would image that in building it would have been quite some time to get it so perfect.
Very enjoyable. Historic home. Photos of presidents, world leaders, and celebrities. Priceless antiques, and furniture, and art work. Most of the paintings are reproductions with the originals on loan to the Met NYC. Should be interesting to history buffs and architecture (mid century) fans. Beautiful views of the nearby mountains. Elegant interiors with unique decor. Gardens and visitor center are free. The different tours have a fee.
A great place to relax taking a walk and enjoying the view of the beautiful gardens. Free entrance to the gardens.
Sunnylands is a beautiful and historic site that is a wonderful place to visit during the great of the day. Sunnylands was once the home to Walter Annenberg an ambassador to Great Britain Britain host to President Truman through Obama. This home for offers beautiful art and incredible historical photos.
