We ate at Sunnyside for lunch and sat at the bar. Serves were friendly and nice and the food was delicious. I had baby back ribs and they were great. We also ordered pulled pork tacos that were amazing. Awesome views and great food. Can’t beat that!

The quintessential deck for a solid meal, great drinks, and excellent service. Ask for Deckhand Dudley, who knows more about the restaurant and Tahoe then anyone.

Just came here for a few drinks as saw it was on the lake! Absolutely great! Staff were great and the drinks selection was fab! Top spot!

Had lunch. Short ribs and calamari appetizer were great. Plan to drive around for awhile during summer to find parking. Regardless planning on returning. Attentive service.

Two stars is a gift
It was holiday weekend, obviously busy… but so many staff just standing around unaware and not helpful

Part of our order arrives, 10 minutes later we flag waiter, can we get the two missing drinks? Sure blames bar (who was working butt off)

By now we were done with appetizers and wanted another couple drinks…’15 minutes later we cancelled the second round…
I’ve visited SS for 30 years, seriously I get it, busy weekend, I’ve been there done that after 13 years in restaurant bar business.
I’d ask you to get with it because at this point I’d tell people to go else where… which I’m sure you don’t care about, but eventually the tourists will hear… and it won’t be good.

I would never recommend at this point as it is ridiculous… figure it out…staff should at least have a pulse!

Good food, beautiful view. Our server was good but many other staff were quite unprofessional. I overheard two employees in the restroom complaining about other employees. Many of the employees seem to just be “hanging out” flirting or visiting with other employees. I overheard cursing in conversations between employees who were on the clock. If I were the boss I would be sitting down for a staff meeting right about now and discussing what professionalism means.

Gorgeous restaurant, attentive wait staff, delicious food and drinks, and view to die for! What a LOVELY experience! We sat outside on the patio for lunch and loved it. Large helpings and food prepared and cooked to perfection.

Nice busy place. Food was ok could be better. Its the views that make it here. Parking in front is very tight. Service, she was busy running around not as personable as other staff I saw. Lots of water boys to help serve water. This restaurant, its ok. Known for a gooey cake tho. No coke refills tho.

Great service and staff. Amazing views of the lake from the restaurant. Full bar with lots of beers on tap. Food was pretty good. Fried zucchini was a big hit.

The restaurants view was gorgeous. You can see the lake tahoe. In addition to that, there's a rental or paddle board, and boats nearby if you want to dip your feet on the waters. You can bring your dog as well on the ride. The staff were nice and friendly. I ordered the ahi, and it was scrumptious.

The food was good but expensive for what you get. You are paying for the location which is great. Right on the water. Really beautiful.

I really want to give this place a 5 star review based on an awesome location, great facilities, and good drinks. My wife and I just had a bad experience last weekend I cannot overlook or forget.
We went to get cocktails right around 5: 00 before dinner reservations at another restaurant. The bar was filled with off duty employees, wearing their work sweatshirts, taking up over half the bar, making it really difficult to order drinks as they were taking up most of the bartenders’ attention.
On duty waitresses were flirting with off duty employees rather than pay attention to customers.
After a few minutes I was able to get our drinks from the female bartender. She was great once I was able to get service.
After about 15 minutes, the bar was only getting busier, so I went to get one more drink and close my tab so we would not miss our dinner reservation.
After waiting for about 5 minutes for our friendly female bartender, she remained busy. I am guessing the next shift of employees was leaving and the male bartender suddenly was free. I moseyed over his way to order a quick drink and close our tab so we would not be late for dinner. I twice requested a drink, he was not helping any customers, and simply said, "Get your drink from her. " While I get tips are sometimes ideally separate, this seemed like really bad customer service. I have been to bars in many countries and continents around the world and never been twice denied basic service. He sucked.
I ultimately did wait a few more minutes and closed our tab just in time to make our dinner reservation.
Sadly, this place seems to be lacking good management and seems like the summer version of an 80s ski resort movie.
Prioritize customers over off duty employees, supervise young staff, and maybe get a 5 star review next time.
