I could write all day about my amazing experience. The entire team of people I interacted with were all friendly, patient and frankly perfect. The job was complex and big. I cant recomend this company enough. So stop searching, you have stumbled onto the best installer in southern california. Achieve piece of mind and use them.

The system is garbage. The app is trash. It used to work and stop working after a while. No one is willing to fix it or respond back despite several messages. The payment process was horrible. After giving their employee the check, he lost the check and they could not find it. It was nightmare!

I compared the quote from tesla and sunpower for 7.29 kwh system, tesla is $19.2K and sunpower is $42k. This is before tax credits. Sunpower is a rip-off!

My solar is on and working, it appears to be comparable to friends' and neighbours.
I chose SunPower based on online data, the company has existed longer than their warranty period, the monitoring app, and panel efficiency. Green Convergence was the SunPower provider that didn’t make any blunders, like telling me “Our 6-kW system makes more power than their 6-kW system” or forgetting to call back and send the estimate.
GC insists on doing a new roof below the panels, which seems reasonable so you don’t have to yank panels for roof repair. However, since an entire new roof was among my possible upgrades and another property already has a new comp shingle roof, I asked for an estimate for a system not including new roofing, but I could not get one. The other property doesn’t have an SPbyGC system.
Regarding the installation, early is perhaps more inconvenient than being late. The crew were generally clean and easy to communicate with, though quite a few fasteners (new and old) were left in the gutters and they don’t seem to realize how far concrete roof tile chips fly when tiles are dropped on a steel truck bed from 6-10 feet. The panel installation looks like I expected, though to date no one has mentioned it looks any more aesthetic than the Tesla system a few doors down.
The app has been “updated” between when I chose SunPower and when the system was installed, and it’s one of those updates that’s a downgrade, providing less, and less useful, information than pre-update. It’s also sometimes temperamental, complaining I need to contact a system administrator to log in.
Based on my previous use, what I could and would use, and how, I thought a 6-kW array would be sufficient. Based on my history the system was sized for 143% more electricity consumption than my previous use, but I should have made it at least 200% based on my efficiency relative similar houses in the neighbourhood and future use. Apparently I completely misunderstood the process and my calculations were off, so I don't have the generation rate I expected. I did inquire about adding panels, even disregarding their NEM-change concerns, but was told this was not a good idea because averaged over a year my production should cover everything and it would reduce "a lot of the savings and benefits of solar. "
Would I use SunPower again? Maybe, dependent on near-future performance, app changes, and Palmetto and ADP.

I couldn’t be more happy with how everything went. They are very quick when it comes to responses, I was very impressed with how quickly installation went, and all the work that they put in to make sure everything goes flawlessly is absolutely incredible. I would recommend them to anyone who is serious about getting solar on their home.

By far the best solar in the business. Best quality, best warranty. Very professional install by licensed roofers. Panels blend seamlessly with our tile roof and actually look very attractive. System works flawlessly and is easy to track with the app.

To start off I want to be clear I did not end up getting any solar panels from this company. This review is simply to mention the customer service I experienced.

The first person I dealt with was Derek. He spent a good chunk of time answering my questions and explained the process to me. I appreciated his professionalism and patience.

We were then emailed by Isaac and asked to book a time to speak. He was responsive and professional in the communication. The next step was the zoom call and he was on time and spent over an hour discussing all the possibilities and showing us a wide variety of options and services. He was clear, informed, patient, and professional throughout the entire call. But the part that really made me want to come here and write a review was the follow up. I asked for a series of items to help me make my decision, he let me know it would take him some time but he would get them all to me. He took his time and compiled everything I asked for in a very easy to comprehend manner.

Unfortunately, ultimately, we decided that Solar was just not the right option for us. If it was I would have definitely gone with this company and Isaac would’ve been a big part of my decision!

Sunpower installed a solar system on our home. Working with them was very easy, they were very responsive and all in all it was a very smooth operation! It is great to be generating our own electricity from the sun!

They were not only on time but early. The crew repaired my roof and you can’t see where the repair was done. They also installed solar panels and an ev charger in my garage. They kept me posted on all the progress. Even painted the conduit to match my house. The inspector said this is the best job he has seen. Very neat and professional. All the workers are friendly and helpful. They were recommended by my brother and my other brother used their solar installers also. You can’t go wrong using this company
