Sunrise at Sterling Canyon

Sunrise is an excellent place to help assist with a loved one. Their staff are friendly, kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and most of all, honest. All of the staff provided excellent care to my mother while she was there. Thank you, Sunrise. You did a great job!

My mom reports that everybody here is very very nice and very very helpful. We know this is true as we see it first hand every time we visit. She also loves her room and having her cat with her. She's made a lot of new friends and can find people to play Rummikub or walk with everyday.

This is an excellent facility. My wife is in the memory care unit and the staff is very knowledgeable and professional. Everything is clean and neat. It gives me peace of mind knowing that she is safe and well cared for.

The staff at Sunrise at Sterling Canyon is very attentive to my father's needs. Keep up the great care.

My in-laws moved into Sunrise Sterling Canyon (Valencia) a year ago, and she commented that it’s been one of the best years of her life. They have a nice dining room where they sit with friends and enjoy the delicious meals. There are in-house activities that they have fun with, like bingo, arts and crafts, and entertainment that comes in to sing and dance. They had a casino night for Father’s Day, which everyone seemed to love. They also have “field trips” where they go to fun places like a pumpkin patch around Halloween time, to see Christmas lights while drinking hot chocolate in the winter, and all sorts of fun destinations every week (I believe the trips are weekly), as well as shopping each week.

My in-laws health has improved dramatically (no more oxygen tank, insulin, etc.) as they’re eating well, getting regular exercise, and we’re immediately notified if there is anything out of the ordinary (a fall, not eating, etc.). The staff is kind, great at what they do, and unbelievably patient. I constantly think about the much fancier and pricier facility that my mom was in, and I know she would have been happier at Sunrise Sterling Canyon. Down to earth people, amazing care, and a grassy yard for the residents’ dogs to play. It really is a wonderful place.

The staff work.very hard there to accommodate the residents. We go almost nightly, so we see the things they do for them and they are always pleasant which makes a big difference. My mom has nothing but nice things to say also!

I have lived at Sunrise for 5 years now and wanted to share my experience here with others. I'm very happy here. Sunrise always puts my welfare first. Choosing this community was the best decision I could have made and my family agrees. I feel independent yet very professionally taken care of. It's like being on a five star cruise ship where everything is done for you. The Executive Director does an outstanding job and has an open door policy. The supervisors and day to day staff are wonderful. It shows they have been trained before they work with me and other Residents. Housekeeping is by far the best I've ever experienced in any upscale hotel. I feel very safe here. The Nursing staff is prompt and very caring. Live entertainment is both frequent and varied. I love the outings such as going to different restaurants, movies, cultural events and museums. The food is excellent and each meal has many, many choices each and every day. I would highly recommend bringing your loved ones here, a decision you won't regret giving you total piece of mind. When you're visiting look me up and I will be happy to talk with you.

It was extremely important for my family and I to find the perfect place for my father to live. From day one, we all felt that Sunrise was more like a home than a facility, it was warm and lively. Karen, Bill and the staff have really made us all feel welcomed and a part of the Sunrise family. Even though, it has only been a short time since my father has been there I can see how happy he is and how he has connected with the residents and staff already. I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a quality loving place for their loved one is to check out Sunrise at Sterling Canyon.
