Sunrise Buffet, San Diego CA

We support this local buffett on Convoy Str. Its a family owned asian style (chinese/ japanese) buffet. In the kearney mesa (san diego) area it offers a good fill up for those that love buffets. Located close to county admin buildings, media stations, and light manufacturing. We always stop by here when in the area. Since its grand opening; Can say the interior is clean, food selection is medium (compared to las vegas buffets), and we always have a good memorable time. Since covid restrictions dining in requires mask and gloves (provided gloves) at the entree islands. The workers are diligent, courteous, and hard working. Prices here are reasonable (ie 12$- 14$ lunch) as of reopening after sd covid. We are glad to see it back whereas many non chain restaurants have vanished.

Great variety of food, service was great and friendly. Our server was fast and she brought us refills fast. It is hands down one of the better Chinese buffets in the San Diego area

First things, the price of the buffet dinner is ridiculous! The food was not worthy of the price. I would suggest you spend your $20 somewhere else. The sad part, the restroom and Diet Pepsi were the only stars here.

Sunrise just opened. It is a great place to eat. Children also loved the food. Went the next day for lunch.

Bomb buffett. Crab legs and Salter crab, 5 types of shrimp, oysters, sushi bar, salad bar, deserts, very very good. Reasonably priced.

This is really good for an all you can eat buffet. You aren't going to get the best high quality dishes (go to a menued restaurant), but you will find a huge variety of good quality foods. I was impressed with the quantity and quality for the price. It isn't only Chinese food. The dishes are all kept at the proper temperatures. Kid approved and family-friendly.

I frequent this place for lunch. It is a solid 4 stars for quality of food, but the price, variety, and all-you-can-eat features push it up to top notch.

Good variety of food, not to many desserts, they rush you, the waiter took us the receipt and we had not even started with dessert.rude, restroom wasn't clean at all

This is the best Chinese buffet that I have ever found. The orange chicken and chicken with broccoli are two of my favorites and are always fresh.

Food is always fresh. We noticed the food being replaced or rotated so that it is not overcooked nor stale. The only thing we are a bit afraid if is that the floors are a bit slippery. It is a bit scary having to go into the restrooms and being afraid if a slip or fall and getting seriously injured. However, the service is great and staff is friendly. Our favorite place to eat when we're in town. Pricing is great! Very affordable. Spread is great! Very good and delicious cuisine!

Got seated promptly. The food was delicious and hot. The sushi was fresh and made on the spot. Our waiter was curtious. I would recommend it to anyone else who likes Chinese food.

I'm proud to recommend Sunrise as the best buffet in San Diego even without the Mongolian food. They have a lot of choices that everyone can enjoy to eat.

The food was not good at all because it had no flavor. I would rather stay hungry then eat there again. The star was for the service, the only good thing out of the whole experience.

The food is not always the best, but they have a large selection, and my picky eater does well here. Always have excellent service when we go. It is a fair price for the wide selection.

The place is shabby and most of what they have is standard Chinese buffet and unremarkable. However they almost always have crawfish and crab which is the only reason I need to keep coming back

We love coming to this buffet to get our cravings out of our system as they have really good food. And reasonably priced!

The food was gross. The soups were old, thick, and unflavored. The fish for the sushi was old and and several dishes were too dry. The ice cream looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the night before. The employees were nice though and the sushi chef helped me at one point and was very kind.
