My mother and her small dog lived here for a year and a half. She was hesitant to leave her home but ended up saying "I just love it here! " She took part in most of the activities which she loved, made friends and felt well cared for. I learned to schedule my visits around beach volleyball or happy hour as she didn't want to miss them! She thought it was fabulous that she no longer had to do her own laundry or make her bed and looked forward to meals with friends in the dining room. I loved that even if mom had a sniffle the nurse would call me and let me know if mom wasn't feeling 100%. Mom knew she could ask any of the staff to help her without feeling like she was bothering them. I am also a home health provider and visit other local assisted living facilities. I chose Sunrise over other options because it is a smaller facility that truly gets to know their residents and would be able to keep a close eye on mom. I got to visit mom because I wanted to see her and not because I had to check up on the facility to make sure mom was getting good care.

I moved my mother from a skilled nursing facility to Sunrise of Danville. My mother requires a high level of care and Sunrise staff have been excellent at addressing her complex needs. She is very well cared for. April Ordiway, the Marketing Director, is AWESOME and has made the complex move (because of my mother’s needs) as smooth as possible. Sunrise of Danville is a fantastic place for my mother and we are so happy she is there with caring caregivers.

My mom has been at Sunrise Danville for just over a year. We couldn’t be happier. She has a lovely apartment with plenty of space for all her things. Everyone on staff is so friendly, caring and patient. They’re very responsive to questions we family members may have and are great about letting us know when there are updates about my mom. The facilities are kept up very nicely and there is a nice variety of activities for the residents to participate in if they choose.

Sunrise of Danville is a wonderful place. Their staff is kind and attentive. Mom is a sociable person and Sunrise of Danville is very good at bringing their residents together for daily interactive activities which Mom really enjoys. I can tell after one year with Sunrise of Danville that Mom's life is happier. Having Mom living there has brought us peace of mind, knowing she is in very good hands. Our family highly recommends Sunrise of Danville.

Sunrise of Danville is a special place. My mother lived there 10 years ago and now I support this community as a hospice provider. From the moment, you walk in you feel the warmth of the staff and a sense of home. Their staff is kind, thoughtful and professional. While their wellness team & leadership exhibit attentiveness, patience and collaboration with our care team as they provide an additional layer of support for residents. My mother-in-law (Rose) loves Sunrise in Danville. She has discovered her second act and is living it at Sunrise. Seriously, the staff is professional and caring, the residents are a delight and daily activities are super fun and never mundane. If fact, our loved one can’t wait for the daily event schedule to see what adventures await her. Since arriving at Sunrise she is more expressive and mobile. So, if you were thinking senior living is just needlepoint, hard candies and naps…you couldn’t be further from the truth. Sunrise is a great community from staff to residents where your loved ones can thrive.

My profession is business development for a home health/hospice agency. I call on assisted living facilities all day every day, so I’ve seen them all and we have had patients at most. Sunrise Danville is one of my favorites. As soon as you pull up to the property you know it is well cared for with manicured grounds and good curb appeal. Then you enter into the foyer and are greeted by friendly faces at reception. I have yet to come across any staff member here who is less passionate about the work they do here. The facility feels light and airy with high ceilings. I also notice how clean and fresh everything feels. I am impressed by the calendar of events with activities for every interest you can imagine from church services to crafts to music to fitness. The food looks really great, too. As my family ages, and ALFs are becoming topic of our discussion, Sunrise is one my favorites and I’d be confident in the care offered here in such a lovely environment.

Dad became a resident of the Sunrise community about 3 months ago (Dec 2022) and they made the move in process easy and stress free.
Dad’s caregivers are very compassionate and professional.
Not only does dad receive the physical attention and care needed, he is encouraged to participate in activities, make new friends, and have some fun!
Also, the staff does a super job of maintaining communication with us family members which is very important to me.
