Sunset Cliffs Natural Park reviews
15Stellar experience. Serene and picturesque. From the name it’s evident, that it’s famous for viewing the sunset. The cliffs and the long seashore, entire spot was crowded for the sunset. It was not the perfect day for it, because it was a bit cloudy. We could just see the sunset hue. The cliffs are good if you are a hiker, but there are many places where cliffs are unstable. So, it’s good not to go much outside of your own limit. The cliffs are actually pretty tall. We could see the seashore and the beach down below. The beach was almost empty except a few surfer. On the cliff during the sunset time, it gets cold and windy (it was December end). Parking could be difficult as a lot of people gather.
The road leading into Sunset Cliffs Natural Park remains my absolute favorite view in San Diego. You really couldn't ask for a better are to sit and watch the water crash into the rocks. I haven't taken any trails into the park, but it's definitely a cool area to walk through and take in some nature along the cliffs.
Beautiful place to adventure to. Went for sunrise and there was no crowd. The views are beautiful! Great place to wander around and explore. Worth it for both sunrise and sunset for sure!
I was surprised to see how many people were there at sunset. Is it like that every night!? Lots of traffic, very beautiful, worth seeing qt least once.
Beautiful place to watch the sunset. Cliffs are unstable, so be careful walking around.
There are a few benches around to sit and watch the sunset. Gets busy quickly so you may want to arrive about an hour before sunset. You will need to walk about a mile from where you park to see the best views.
Gets 5 stars because it was an absolute pleasure to watch the sunset from here! Just keep in mind that their will be a lot if traffic and not much parking. Depending on where you go it can be a little unsafe near the edges so definitely keep an eye on the kiddos.
Let's go to the beach beach let's go get away everybody go surfing surfing USA so surfs up dudes surfs up indeed and let's all get tattoos
Absolutely stunning place fun to walk and explore it's a long trail which is nice if you feel like taking a walk but easily go look at one spot and see plenty there's stairs that you can walk down too a small cove.
Very beautiful spot. Parking was free and plentiful even on a weekend at noon. Cliffs can be dangerous for children but it's definitely worth checking out. There is a trail as well that is used pretty frequently.
A great walk any time of day (dog friendly) but spectacular, as the name implies, at Sunset. This is something you MUST do in SD, plenty of parking & a different sunset every night! WOW!
Breathtaking. Anytime of the day is a good time to visit. However, The name is Sunset Cliffs for a reason. You are on the farthest point of the West Coast! Visit at 4pm during the 4th quarter of the year. Prepare to be amazed with the best views available. Parking is a bit difficult so arrive on time to scope out the area.
Everything was great, but I wish there were more trees. Maybe some nice eucalyptus tress or something. Lots of barren areas of just dust & dirt. Great little hike and amazing ocean views.
Unfortunately the day I was here the cloud cover in the sky was very heavy where the sun set which prevented a true sunset experience, however I can still see how this would be an absolutely beautiful experience on a clear evening. Consider its a free way to spend the evening viewing nature at its best I think it's well worth a stop by to anyone visiting San Diego.
Came here with my husband, brought our pop up tent and a gas burner and had stores while listening to the ocean. It was beautiful.
