Sunshine House Preschool Oakley

We are so happy at Sunshine House! We love that the kids can choose where they want to play and explore and that there are teachers supervising in every area with headsets to communicate when kids are headed to another area of the school. It gives the kids a sense of independence, but also ensures security and safety. The teachers are so sweet and thoughtful. We’ve received many hand written notes with sweet messages about our kids. We also love the frequent pizza movie nights that they offer to allow for parents to go on date nights. It’s that extra step in caring for our family that is unmatched. I highly recommend Sunshine House!

We chose Sunshine House Oakley because we wanted our son to continue to grow and be challenged with children his own age. Once I toured the school I was blown away by their balance of teacher directed learning and the choice for my son to choose where he wants to play/learn. He comes home daily with art projects and talking about how much fun he had that day. He loves the swings in the backyard, and the dress up area. I love that we get daily text messages with photos of how his day is going. They have their curriculum posted online so it's easy for us to ask questions about what he learned related to a subject instead of "How was school today? " Sunshine House provides breakfast daily and I'm so thankful that stress has been taken off of my hands. I know he's getting a nutritious meal and he's not rushed. I am so happy we made the choice to put him in Sunshine House. We can't wait to see him continue to shine.

I took the time to write this review to be as objective as possible. My child has been at Sunshine House since June. She liked Sunshine House from the first day. She enjoys too much art activities and every time she is exited to show me her new art work. She also loves to be at the playground and do her favorite activities (slide, swing, water play, climbing.) under the shadow of a nice tree. Also the school is clean and organized.there is a busy, positive atmosphere. Vanessa (the director) is very friendly, optimistic person. And she is a generator that makes this "ship" sail in only forward and on a progressive wave. Most of the teachers and teacher's assistants are also very positive people and professionals and in fact love children very much and treat them with understanding, love and a desire to understand what is going on in these little children's heads. By professionalism, I mean the human ability to do a good job, to be able to solve problems (if any) openly and sensitively, and still have a positive attitude.and I think that we are very lucky with this school! I hghly recommend to everyone!

My daughter started today and she loved it. I love the environment and how involved the staff and teachers are. Im hoping to soon start my other daughter once she turns 2
