SUP California - Stand Up Paddle Board Store & Rentals

Jamie was all around amazing! My friend and I were visiting for the weekend and called Jamie late in the day to take two kayaks out. She was welcoming, friendly and helped us with every step we needed to load up the kayaks.

As the sun went down, one of us accidentally got lost. Jamie was incredibly generous with her time and energy. Even after the shop had closed, she waited with me and helped signal my friend to shore safely. To top it off, all of this was the night right before she was leaving for a big trip. I 100% recommend SUP California!

To own a nice paddle board and equipment is kind of expensive so I rented some here for me and me wife to try. I paid to rent 2 boards, life jackets, and paddles for $163. The rental was for 24 hours starting when you pick up the boards. Me and my wife had a blast paddle boarding! We are now looking into saving up and buying some boards and equipments through SUP California.

SAM gets 5 stars! She makes SUP Cal such a great store to visit, look at boards, and glean knowledge from her! She is kind, patient, understanding, and knowledgeable. Zero pressure during the many times I have interacted with her.

I work in health care and have experience hiring (or declining applications after having interviewed) health care providers. I know how clients should be treated- respectfully, zero pressure, let them make their own decision after providing them with information that they can process and the pros/cons to everything with zero desire to sway their decision about anything. If an interviewed clinician was curt, arrogant, rude, dismissive, or poorly organized, or ever make a client feel "stupid" for asking any question, I would reject their application. If Sam had applied to that company when I was the supervisor, I'd have hired her in an instant. She is professional, respectful, informative, and there is zero pressure from her to make any decisions.

She has patiently dealt with me for 2-3 months of asking questions, trying out some rentals, while I figured out which kind of board I wanted.

I started SUP'ing in July of 2023 and I would either rent or borrow boards from family and friends. I paddled 2-4 times every week from July to Sept before I was able to conclude what type of board I wanted. I whittled it down to three boards. In the end, she was able to predict which board I'd probably like. She was right! I knew during all of my researching and online "shopping", that I wanted to buy from Sam because she was so generous with her time with me. I really wanted to support her and SUP Cal. BTW, I wasn't surprised that Sam was spot on helping me choose my board, she was right about a lot of predictions.

If Sam is a reflection of how the owner wants her shop to be run, my assumption is that the owner must be pretty incredible, too. I only got to meet the shop owner once and during that one time, I noticed that she was kind and friendly.as she immediately offered to help me get a board off of my car (I didn't know she was the owner at the time).

Fabulous shop because of the way it is run and because of Sam! Highly recommend.

SUP California rented us a paddleboard for the day for a reasonable fee and even helped mount it on our car roof. They were quick and available on short notice.

We had a great experience with SUP California. They helped load the boards on our car, answered all our questions and did it all with a smile! Can’t wait to go back and rent again!

Great service! We did a multi-day rental for a camping trip, they had everything ready to go when we picked it up. The board worked great!

100% recommend SUP California! We recently rented a SUP to take with us on our multi-day camping trip. From booking the rental to dropping off the equipment, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They took the time to learn as much as possible about our trip so that the appropriate SUP was given to us. At pick up, Jamie took the time to educate us about the equipment and ensured that we had everything we needed before heading off to our campsite. I will definitely coming back again!

Very friendly staff! Walked me though mounting my board on my car, and informed me of the best lake entrances nearby. I initially booked for two hours but ended up having so much fun I spent three hours, and was able to pay the difference after I returned my equipment. Heavily recommend.

We had a great time. The inflatable boards were great and the people working were very helpful. Look forward to going again soon!

I absolutely LOVE this store! SUP CA has something for everyone from first time paddlers to super experienced Jamie (the owner) will work with you to make sure that you get exactly what you want and need.

We have rented with SUP California a couple of times this year and it's been great. The rental process was quick and easy. The staff are courteous and helpful, good customer service. Jaime (owner) is very knowledgeable about her products, she will educate you about the different types of SUPs. Jaime always had good recommendations whether you're considering to rent inflatable, hard boards or demos. Come-in and try out their boards, you WON'T be disappointed.

We will definitely be utilizing this business again in the future. It was so easy from going in and grabbing our rentals and returning them was a breeze as well. The ladies there are super friendly and even remembered my name when we returned. Things like that will definitely make repeat customers. The prices are reasonable as well. Can't wait to go back to the water!
