The team working on 8/8/20 made sure they did everything possible to make sure we had a good time. Tough with unexpected in flux of customers at once and social distancing. Be prepared to register, pay, and sign waivers on your phone. It's the new normal

The workers are always friendly. They we kind enough to delay our time 30 min because we wanted to get some food quickly. Super easy to work with and they don't hound you if your a little bit late returning.

Me and three kids ages 10 to 13 had a fantastic time in the harbor yesterday on four of Trudie's super stable boards. She gets you set up and feeling comfortable before sending you on your way. She is always very attentive. I highly recommend the SUP Shack!

Would have gavin this place 5 stars but the owner is condescending and a false friendly. Be careful not to go over even a minute as she will surely charge you another hour without even talking with you first.

I have rented from Trudie at SUP shack a few times. She is awesome! She always makes the experience easy, low stress, and very fun!

A treat to give yourself while in Santa Cruz! Trudie is the 'hostess with the mostess": warm and welcoming and masterfully knows her gear and the locale! Convenient, reasonably priced, a sweet beach to picnic at when you're done! PS: Trudie was SO flexible and generous with us; when we called, she stayed open later than usual to accommodate us. Wow! Thank you Trudie!

Trudy (the owner) was awesome! Made the whole experience all the better. Fantastic customer service, very informative and helpful for first timers. We even got a quick lesson before we went out on our paddle boards. Fair prices and a great selection of rental water crafts and beach accessories for sale. Conveniently located right in the harbor, no need to transport rentals. Highly recommended!

Trudie was very patient with us on our first time on a SUP. Also very flexible as I showed up with a 9-year old that I neglected to mention. We were on the water in about 10 minutes and had a great time cruising the harbor. She'll send you out in big water too but too much boat traffic on the morning of our lesson.

Love this place! Only 25$ for one hour, owner is very nice and gave us a quick lesson before sending us out on the water! Will definitely be back!

The staff was very accommodating to us even though we came later than they could easily manage, and went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed for our paddle boarding excursion for four people. It was the perfect birthday present!

Bottom line she’s gotta be the most easy going, good natured, good vibe pushing paddle board shop owner on the planet. She’s really fun and makes the experience easy to manage and stress free in addition to making you feel like you guys have known each other for years. Truly one of a kind.

I love this place. The owner is very friendly also the prices are good for there paddle board/kayak rentals. You can buy last minute things such as sun block, tanning oil, water proof pouches to hold your phone, hats, etc. Its a great place to visit.
