Super Sun Market reviews
17I like this place because they have amazing and delicious food and to be honest I have never seen the Original Persian food like them in LA. They're nice people and They have a great variety of foods.
It may be a small store, but the venue, ambiance, and strong range of items available for purchase make it highly recommended. It comes highly recommended!
Mixed review
+ The guy restocking was nice
+ Food tastes good
+ I liked the fruit flavored drinks
- The cashier lady is always on her phone and looks annoyed that you dare disturb her with your purchase
- Got food poisoning from the potato salad. It tasted fine but was probably expired but there's no labels saying when it was made so ️
- wish it had more variety for beverages and snacks
A smaller Persian market thats easy to navigate. Good for prepared meals. Short of fresh veggies.
The owner/husband & wife they keep arguing all the time. Rude management.they offer below minimum to the worker. Absolutely not recommended.
It says that they open at 9. But I am here past 9 and the store isn’t open. Why would you put a sign on your door saying your covid hours are from 9-7 when you aren’t even open?
Terrible attitude workers! Also, door is wide open to street with cars zooming by so possible pollution on all the food.
Despite my resistance to put a negative review, I have to make sure others are aware of what I experienced:
A. No price tag on merchandise and I think she assumes it’s ok when the other market that I avoid “Tochal Market” is not putting price.
B. Terrible attitude by the lady/ owner that was literally shouting at me when I was simply addressing my concerns in a calm manner
C. Seeing other employees embarrassed by her attitude was really uncomfortable. I felt bad for them and one approached me outside and apologized
I could go on but need to stop now because as I mentioned I don’t like to put negative reviews.
Friendly mom pop
Some prices are ridiculously high
Some are good
Shelves seem empty as of late in some parts of store
I love this market. I buy different jams from all over the world - could be expensive, tea and some other Mediterranean, Middle Eastern food. I also come here when I want delicious Olivier salad sandwich or coutlet sandwich or chicken Kabobs. They cooked really good.
After I got attacked in Glatt Mart in pico blvd (Next to Elat Market) I called friend of mine and she introduced Super sun to me. I drove all the way to Westwood blvd to try this place. I met the sweetest lady and her husband who runs the business. I just loved the store because of these reasons:
1. Nice and clean.
2. Super organized.
3. Amazingly friendly
4. Reasonable prices
5. Yummy deli foods
This place will be my grocery shopping spot now on and I highly recommended.
Worse experience about customer service. I bought a bag rice and after I just opened the bag and not use it, I needed to return the rice because of the bad quality and they didn’t accept to get it. Be carful about your shopping from this place and don’t waste your hard earned money in this place. Don’t recommend at all. So disappointing.
If you are Persian you'll like this place. I found stuff here I wouldn't imagine possible outside of Iran. From variety of dried or preserved food to seasonal fruits and even special cookware. There's also a deli which sells decent Persian food and side dishes.
I live close by and go there all the time, they have such good prepare food.better than my persian mom's. The store is always clean and not crowded. Parking in the back is great, cause Westwood parking is impossible. The ladies have always been friendly and kind and I find their prices are much better than the persian stores above Santa Monica Blvd.
Lol. Mojgan
Great Persian market. What makes this a great place is that they sell food cooked to order. Party platter that will serve 10 people for $110. Great fresh food.
Nice, great chicken kabob. The prices seem to fluctuate depending on who rings me up, but they have some of the best dates, apricots, and nuts. Definitely no tofu in this persian market.
