Their roasted chicken sandwich didn’t taste fresh. Bread was stale and meat was recomposed/grated/granulated.

The food was amazing and the service was fab. We’ve been looking for a nice cafe which has reasonable (not blooming massive) portion sizes for a while. We are sure to become regulars!

Terrific place for brunch lunch or a snack as the name purports. The matcha juice is absolutely stellar. Love the coffees too and the breakfast burrito is a standout!

Tasty tasty
Scenic scenic
And a dream to sit and refuel under the majestic and serene mural by Ojai artist, Darren Magee.

Thank you

Superb indeed!

Good food made with care and pleasant bright indoor sitting area. Enjoyed the cheese-crusted burrito and the pastries. Just heads up, they do start closing up by 3pm and putting chairs on the tables even if they close at 4pm, happened both times I was there. Not sure why they have to start that early.

Ham and butter on French baguette was perfect. Exactly what was needed. Martinelli's apple juice to wash it all done. Great overall snack combo.

My favorite coffee shop in Pasadena! Must try the egg sandwich or burrito but any baked goods are first rate! The coffee is legit single origin and atmosphere is modern yet cozy.

A good variety of breakfast items. Really enjoyed the breakfast burrito and egg brioche. Croissants were ok.

Don’t come here to beat the heat! It’s beyond hot it’s unbearable and the front desk did nothing after we requested to at least open a window. They said “it will make it worst” it’s so hot it’s a safety hazard, people can start passing out!

The food is really good here. Breakfast burrito was delicious great salsa. Could be cleaner on my Friday morning tables were still dirty and unattended to. Table feet really need some attention. Prices are about 15% higher than in some photos, so really good choice!

This place is my home away from home, and my desk away from school. The perfect spot for breakfast, lunch, or a quick coffee and snack. Their breakfast burrito is delicious, but be careful- it can be a dangerous habit. Their cheesy egg toast is simple and delicious, and you can't go wrong with any of their bakery items.

The chocolate chunk walnut cookie is oh so good, and they have the best kouign amann you'll find outside an actual French patisserie.

Their cold brew, and iced latte is the reason I keep coming back.

The employees are so sweet and are always in a good mood, the music is great here, and the vibe especially on a nice sunny day with the open doors is perfect.

I love this place and their nicoise sandwich. Not all items on the menu are as good but still worth trying. The matcha can be good with tweaks. And when they bring back the strawberry preserves I stock up - it is amazing.

I love coming here! The employees are always upbeat, the vibe is fun and cool. It's the kinda place you would happen upon in the artsy part of a big city. Actually reminds me of some trendy Italian cafe. The music is varied and interesting. Seems like I'm always pulling out my phone to Shazam songs. There is a steady stream of people coming for something to take with them. But there's also a group hanging out enjoying the sunny patio or lounging in the main area with its distressed concrete bank of seats with purple seat cushions. Cute European style round marble tables and metal/wooden chairs round out the rest of the space. But you are probably coming for coffee, bakery items and food I would assume? Best cappuccinos around. Everything is measured so the quality stays consistent. For food, you can choose from an open face cheesy egg toast (my favorite) to a tuna niçoise sandwich with much more in between. Try the cheddar chive biscuits, peanut butter rice crispy treat cookies or the kouign amann. Oh, I forgot about the mushroom asparagus danish. Can you tell I really like this place? It just might become a habit.

Nice little cafe with an open feel. Small-ish parking lot in the back for patrons. No outlets I could see, though there was Wi-Fi. Uncomfortable chairs & small tables. Decent amount of seating. Good for a quick meal/coffee break, probably not for an extended work session. Friendly staff and quick service. I got the breakfast sandwich but it was a weird combo of flavors & textures (watercress/sauce didn’t work well). Decent prices overall. Would probably stop by again to try something else here.

Maintains the same high quality as its sister location on the west side, but with counter service instead.

Always liked Superba and been to their Venice & Hollywood locations so I was excited to try their Pasadena location as well. I saw that the Pasadena menu was mainly brunch foods which I like so I reserved it for my Sunday brunch spot. After eating here, I had so many regrets and it was even worse bc I wasted my fav lunch day on a bad meal

Ordered:
1. Vegetarian sausage biscuit sandwich
2. Chicken salad sandwich
3. Almond croissant

As you can tell from the photos, everything was super lackluster and dry af for a place that’s KNOWN for their bread, I was shocked at how bad the bread quality was… each sandwich was stale and it was quite obvious that they used week old bread…

The sausage sandwich’s cheese was cold and completely unmelted as you can tell from the photo. The sandwich was horrible and the bread was so dry I couldn’t even eat more than 1 bite.

I left feeling nauseous which is a really bad sign & it confirmed my suspicion that they didn’t use high quality ingredients.
The almond croissant was also burnt on the outside and had a really artificial almond flavor all in all this experience left a rly bad taste in my mouth (literally) and I won’t be coming again.

Price:
$30/meal

My favorite neighborhood spot for breakfast and coffee. I love the avo toast and an iced mocha. It’s dog friendly too!

Nice place to get a coffee & a snack. Prompt staff. Try the golden latte with a shot of espresso & an avocado toast add bacon.

Update: Still some great dishes, but be wary of stale sandwich bread. Worst bread I had at any place I can remember. Downgrading them from 5 to 3.

Tasty food, friendly place. Nice outdoor seating. Try the turmeric ginger milkshake, it’s good! Bit of a pity they’ve started to close the big windows recently. It used to wonderfully airy.
