Went in yesterday to return a knife set I purchased online. The gentleman who helped me choose a new knife set was so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I really appreciated it! Can’t wait to chop up some stuff now!

Embarking on the Knife Skills 101 course at Sur La Table was a cut above the rest. The cozy ambiance of the kitchen set the stage for an immersive experience, although the limited space meant working shoulder to shoulder. While practice materials were minimal, with just one carrot and a few veggies, the instructor, was the true highlight. His expertise and affable teaching style made up for any shortcomings. Despite the tight quarters and limited practice, the guidance left me feeling sharper in the kitchen. A solid choice for honing your knife skills, especially for beginners.

This was me and my wife's first cooking class, and wow.so much fun! We made a NY strip steak and risotto. You work in teams of four, so plan on making new friends.

We made empanadas, charred corn salad, and a mango coconut mousse.
Chef Greg was so fun and informative!
I highly recommend any of Chef Greg's classes!

Simona was such a big help and a pleasure to work with! I came in there on a mission and in a time crunch and she helped me even beyond the original mission and got me out on time. Such a great store and wonderful people!

Fashion Valley is way better than my home store Carlsbad location! Why is this location lacking help one person on the floor to help and running register by themselves. The line is sometimes so long I have to put my things down. I don’t have the time to wait. Last weekend I went to the fashion valley store yes smaller but they had 2 people on the register and 2 people on the floor helping people answer questions being helpful.when my store only had one person all the time and it’s a bigger store. Is this an Independently Owned store is this why it’s so lacking? I would rather drive 45 min and sit in traffic to get good customer service and helpful people who have the time to help you make a big purchase.

A joke of a cooking school! Our cooking class started late, because the class before us ran over. Poor planning as far as I could tell! Most of our time in the beginning was cutting onions! My grand-daughter’s eyes were tearing so much our ‘chef’ thought it was funny and showed her a ‘trick’ on how to stop it.it didn’t work! The cook tops are so far away, it’s hard to reach. Our chicken wasn’t pounded, so it cooked unevenly after the ‘chef’ put it in the oven, so one of ours wasn’t done! The class ran so long and over our allotted class time that we had to leave and not even eat our soufflé! We were supposed to get 10% off purchases in the store that night, but the cash registers closed and a snotty clerk said, “you don’t plan on buying that do you? ” I found the whole experience with our arrogant chef, crowded work area that we had to work at and stand up and eat and store episode a complete and udder waste of money!
