SureStay Hotel, Tehachapi CA

NO BREAKFAST! Asked and they have to walk next door and get food and coffee from Best Western! Wow! Plus, the young girl at reception 1st night did not understand English and it was a bit of a struggle. The larger girl the second morning was VERY rude and just sat on her phone playing. Never going there again!

My husband and I stayed one night during a very long holiday road trip. We love this place! It was quiet and comfortable and there were lots of food to choose from at breakfast. I want to say the room was CLEAN! The town is super cute too. Thank you we loved staying here and got some much needed rest.

Rooms were clean and nice! If that's all you're going to do, great place and I'd recommend it. The continental breakfast would be accurate if the continent was Antarctica. We went down to get food an hour after it began to find our only options were going to be cold cereal, rotting fruit, or English muffins of questionable age. Coffee? Nonexsistant. Tea? Fine but if you have sugar, make sure to drink it through your teeth so you don't swallow the ants. The lack of upkeep was pretty disheartening and the staff didn't seem interested in brewing another pot when asked.

Perfectly serviceable room. Nice, firm bed. Heating works exceptionally well. Very accommodating to minor requests. Have stayed here before and would stay here again, as it's the best motel you'll find for the price in Tehachapi. Reasons I can't give it more than three stars: paper-thin walls and a bathroom fan that sucks in cigarette smoke from outside. (Yeah, I don't understand how, either.) On a high note, the free breakfast buffet is pretty good. Not gourmet, but you're getting as much grub as you like. For free.

Expedia said $20. For our dog, When we arrived the rude clerk charged us $32. Then the same rude clerk told us our room had a king bed.low and behold it was a queen. Terrible place!

Room was clean, prices reasonable. Bathroom was huge, shower head was taller than my head (I'm above average height for a woman). Water pressure was fantastic. Beds were comfortable. Front Desk staff was friendly and helpful. It was relatively easy to find, and wasn't hard to get back on the road from.

My room was horribly cleaned. There were boogers on the wall above my nightstand. Long black hairs were all over the floors. My feet would pick up the hairs onto my white bed. The floors didn’t look clean, especially in front of the toilet. I could see splatter on the dresser. Faucet handles were not wiped. My room needed maintenance. Water from the shower leaked over all the way by the front door entrance. The staff was friendly and explained things clearly. But the cleaners and maintenance needs to be addressed. The room was overpriced for the level of cleanliness I received.

Breakfast was excellent. Our floors were dirty. Trash outside was overflowing.we didn't get to check in until 1516 check in time was 1500. Shower was nice.

I rented a room on July 26 2022. Was there less than an hour and discovered bugs crawling around. Decided to leave and ask for a refund which was denied. I had the desk connecte to the owner who is ms. Yew. She was by far the rudest person I've encountered in a owner of a hotel situation. I told her I will dispute this charge. Do 2 days later in July 28 2022 she decides to charge my card again. I am now furious. Called capital one to dispute this charge as well. For someone who owns every large hotel chain in tehachapi area, she is rude and totally incompetent toward her guests. Ms. Yew? Do you enjoy committing credit card fraud? I will be filing a police report against her with the tehachapi police department shortly. I hope your happy now.

Just basing the review on the check in. I mistaking booked a room for a month out. No big deal, a room was available and I booked another for tonight. My daughter and son in law came in from out of town and the room was for them. The young woman behind the counter was unpleasant as can be. Absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever. I hope the kids enjoy their room atleast. We will see what tomorrow brings.

We requested a first floor room and were put in a room that was obviously too small for the standard furnishings. About 12 inches between the end of the bed and the oversized dresser
. Couldn't open the drawers or cabinet. Very dangerous weaving your way across in the middle of the night to access the bathroom. Moral of the story.either use that abnormally small room tucked under the stairs for storage or make it a very comfortable single room for a lone traveler, of which there are many, for a discounted rate.

So the location for this hotel is great but the hotel should be called a motel. The price is outrageous for the quality of the room and the horrible customer service. We felt very unwelcome and not cared about at all when we asked about our room because it was not clean. We got attitude and cold dirty looks from the front desk lady and the cleaning staff because they had to do their job. We left as soon as we got up the next morning. I do not recommend at all.

1st room had bad water leak from room above and we had to ask to be moved. 2nd room had someone trying to get in the door. Very run down. Unfriendly office clerk.

Some of the best sleeping I have had on the PCT so far. Convenient for the center of town and for Wal-Mart for resupply.

The first time we had stayed was a good experience, even though it was only for a night, and they gave us a room on very short notice. But the second time was less great. We paid for a bigger room and our stay was a week long. Entering the room for the first time-and every time after that-our room smelled of a dead animal or something. The toilet was acting up, and when asking the front desk for assistance we were told to just find the housekeeping outside as if it was our job to do so; they later sent maintenance to fix it, not bothering to give an ETA or anything. The area isn’t too pleasant. It’s a decent place to stay but can’t say I was close to satisfied.

Room was adequate, service was poor. We stayed for five nights. Paid over $600. Never saw housekeeping. Had to empty our own trash cans out to keep them from overflowing. Anytime we had to go to the front desk, the person was less than friendly. Our key cards wouldn’t work after a day. Had to keep going back. Roaches in the bathroom.
