Surf Brothers Teriyaki and Catering

It’s always been a great place to come in for a nice chicken, rice and coleslaw meal. I’ve been going to this location in one over in Encinitas for years and occasionally the one in Oceanside.

Just take cash again so all of us that are boycotting your store can come back because your food is good. I don't use cards I use cash and so do a lot of other people.

People are happy to see you

Excellent Teriyaki sauce! (Not too sweet.) Good sticky white rice. Good portions. Will be coming here more often for sure.

We used Surf Brother for our Son's Wedding Rehearsal Dinner and it was awesome! It was as if the manager Jose was one of our Family members. The Employees all kept looking at the clock to make sure we were on schedule. Food was delicious. Sliders were not soggy. The Vegan dishes were kept vegan. I was asked at least 7 times if I had cooked the meal myself. It was that good. We are talking above and beyond. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a delicious, stress free meal.

I will never go there again. I asked for three containers of Sriracha and the counter person said I could only have two. The little plastic containers were only half full at that.

If you're from the seattle area, you know what good teriyaki tastes like. This place is the closest to our teriyaki. Super flavorful!

Great food and excellent service. Every time I visit the service is fast and everything tastes great!

So I tried it for the first time on Wednesday, and I had to come bsck today, it's that good.
I had the chicken Teriyaki. The portion was generous, the sauces very flavorful and it's a very good value for your Money. The restaurant is clean and the staff is so friendly!
Today was my second time eating here and I will be s customer for a long time.

I have been going to Surf Brothers in Escondido for many years. I love the food and simple menu. This allows them to focus on quality and consistency. Jose and his team are always very friendly. Jose remembers his regular customers and like me my regular order although always checks to see if I want something different. The flavors are really great. They appreciate feedback if you have any problems with your order or if you don’t feel it being quite up to par they take care of you. I highly recommend this restaurant and wish they would open another one on the west side of Escondido.

My husband and kids are huge fans! We all wish that the Teriyaki sauce flavor/ingredients would go back to the way it was before though. It used to be thicker and sweeter. Now it's thinner (more watery), super salty and tastes more like soy sauce rather than Teriyaki sauce. I'm assuming like most other food establishments that costs and change in vendors may be the reasoning, unfortunately for the customer/s our prices keep climbing as well and the quality isn't at least staying the same due to these unfortunate circumstances we're all experiencing.
The customer service and staff at this location are great though and always remember my husband when he walks in.

I wish that we were given the option with chicken to be only white meat, only dark meat, or both. My daughter & I are extremely picky meat eaters (texture sensitive) and typically order plain rice without a protein.

Surf brothers has some of the best quality chicken and steak along with their salad and rice great selection it’s extremely tasty food.

Surf Brothers teriyaki chicken is amazing, truly. Always delicious, always fresh and Jose never fails to put a smile on my face. The rest of the staff are great too. One of the few restaurants that NEVER disappoint!

Great place! Inexpensive healthy alternative to the cookie cutter fast food you can find anywhere. Fresh and ready to eat you can’t go wrong tbh. I’ve been eating at both the Escondido and Carlsbad locations since they opened at least 15 years ago and always good!

Never had surf brothers before. We needed lunch before getting some dessert and saw surf brothers. My husband likes their teriyaki chicken and so we got one to share. It was pretty good. You can taste and smell the grill. The teriyaki sauce was also good too. We did get a few charred pieces at the bottom, but the chicken was still tasty! Reminded me of flame broiler.
