Mmm. I hate to be harsh but.this place is surrounded by better options. By quality and portion, Sushi Ai is the better choice. Sushi on Fire was servicing me immediately with complimentary miso soup and can rival Ai with quality. I REALLY don't want to slam this place, I don't like doing it. But I have the feeling the moment I try Sushi Nikkei, this place falls to fifth in the pecking order among all the places on 2nd Street. I didn't hate it, but I'm not impressed.

The best sushi, service, and atmosphere around. The owner and staff are all terrific. Very high quality sushi (and I am very very picky!). Love this place!

Phenominal food for the price. I completely enjoyed the variety and so appreciated the flavor and quality.

This used to be one of my favorites places. However, when my fiance' and I went for dinner? ; we were told that dogs weren't allowed in the restaurant although our dog had joined us several times before. We were then told we could eat on the patio with our dog. However, a couple who wasn't on the waiting list skipped the line & was sitting outside. We let the staff know. Nothing was done. Very disappointed.

Even though it was a small place, they were able to seat us right away on a Thursday evening. But who cares about that? The sushi and the service were phenomenal. Granted, the flavors were a lot more intense than traditional sushi, but so well done. I’d go back tonight if I could.

Owner is very nice. Food is really nice. If you want to impress your girlfriend/wife come here. High quality and fresh. Also, REAL WASABI. Additionally, after eating you can go to the beach and relax. Ask Song the Owner to recommend the menu.

So good! Very impressed by the sushi. I had the spicy tuna roll and the Long Beach roll. Both were perfect. Great service too.

Absolutely wonderful experience here with my friends. Were seated fairly quickly, and were given warm and friendly service. The sushi was fresh and well plated. We had a variety of sashimi and nigiri, as well as the spicy tataki roll and it was all fantastic.

First time, In a word GREAT!

Great, Great service, Great experience, and then we went to Afters Ice Cream.

Best place in town, great sushi, atmosphere, service. Song the owner is always there and makes sure you are taken care of. Extremely nice, friendly and accommodating, easy going. Trust me, ho there and you will love it

Wow! @Sushi is where it’s @! We dined here for my Bday. The first highlight is its location. Located on the main strip of Belmont Shores which is a very cool spot to hang! Secondly, the presentation was beautiful and the fish was fresh! Lastly, our servers, Toni and Song were top notch! One of my favorite sushi experiences in a while. Highly recommend!
