Sushi HON reviews
17Wonderful food but the service was a little slow. The front door was open on a very cold night
This is the hidden gem of quality sushi in LA. We’ve come over 20 times and the sushi is always consistently delicious, fresh and top notch. Solomon is the man! Best staff.
Guys - HON has some of the best sushi I’ve had outside of Japan. The fish quality it off the charts. The only other place in LA that consistently delivers this quality is Sushi Hama downtown but you’ll typically wait 1.5 hours to get in there.
Hesitant to leave this review so we don’t run into that long line here but Solomon and we’ll his crew deserve it.
This is the BEST sushi I have ever had! Seriously… the happy hour special is an amazing deal, and the service is always exceptional. I have been eating here once a week for a few months and I haven’t been disappointed with any of the rolls or appetizers. They have ramen on their special boards and I am excited to try that next! If you are looking for fresh fish, creative rolls, and fair prices sushi hon is the spot!
Food is good but there were a lot of drunk Koreans shouting out and taking so loud. Wouldn't recommend going with your family or friends
Food its ok very pricey compared with the rest of the sushi places in the area customer is great one large hot sake $14 other places around $9
The greatest sushi restaurant I've ever been. Fish is always fresh and rolls are Amazing.
Phenomenal. Small place, good music, amazing sushi all around. Fresh, and a good mix of sashimi, classic and special rolls. Cannot recommend this place enough.
Some restaurants are such an integral part of your life that you never think about leaving a review. Sushi Hon has become that place ever since we moved nearby about a year ago.
The chu-toro is my favorite when I want to splurge. The salmon sushi and tamago are my other go-tos. The yellowtail scallion roll was something I first had here and now love. The Portland and Norton rolls are great. The takoyaki is a little pricy for what it is, but its tasty. The chicken thigh skewers are amazingly delicious for a place that mostly serves fish. The salmon teriyaki bento is my favorite for a week night or if I'm by myself (though it could be shared).
The servers seem to be pretty much always the same crew, and the are great.
Lastly, if it is your first time you must get the deep fried green tea ice cream.
Really tasty and good quality sushi.
Good fish to rice ratio and everything tastes fresh!
Best sushi I've ever had lifetime lol. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for high quality sushi rolls and a place to chill with friends. The service was really good and the staff were really nice and took our order with no problems.
Great quality with great prices. Solomon treats us like family whenever we go in. Highly recommend!
I loved it a little pricey but honestly not even that bad. Considering this sushi was some of the best I ever had the price actually seems generous. Definitely best overall Value.
Street parking.
Small cute place. The service is amazing. Food is good. Price is reasonable. Very nice staff
We ordered take away and the food was fine but the amount of plastic used to package it was beyond absurd (at least 5x more than any other normal restaurant) we couldn’t enjoy the meal as we felt way too guilty
The sashimi quality was fantastic - tasted very fresh and the pieces were generously large. The rolls were very delicious as well, it was hard to pick out only a few from their extensive menu. I’d definitely come back to try more of their specialty rolls.
Ordered the mix tempura, tuna sushi, dragon roll, crazy Mike roll, and truffle maker roll. The sashimi tasted high quality and fresh. Very enjoyable!
