Sushi Ken, Torrance CA

Quaint, traditional, and inviting atmosphere. Excellent service and friendly staff. I was having work done on my car nearby and was looking for somewhere to dine. There was a sign stating “reservations only” at the front door, however, they weren’t too busy at the time I arrived and they happily seated me. Since I was dining on my own, I chose to sit at the sushi bar. The sushi was fresh & delicious. The sushi prepared in the photo was the following: Blue Fin Tuna, Amberjack, Halibut, Japanese Mackerel, and Alfonsino. I highly recommend the Alfonsino. I will be back here for Omakase with my +1!

We had the omakase set, chirashi sushi, soft shell crab, boiled red snapper head, and sautéed white shrimp! They are all delicious! I thought it was unusual to have oysters in the sushi toppings! It was delicious. Especially the sea urchin was big, creamy and the best soft shell crab is also highly recommended! ! ! The shell was really soft and full of meat. The service is good and the store is clean and satisfying! Hot green tea seems to be free

My girlfriend and I had an amazing dinner here. We didn't have a reservation (make sure to call ahead for one!) but we were lucky enough to be the last group to be seated for the night.
It's a very small restaurant. The staff are incredibly kind and the sushi is -so- good. Like others mentioned, it's simple, delicious, and authentic. Highly recommend this place.
