Sushi Ran, North Hollywood CA

We’ve been coming to Sushi Ran for a few years. I sent a Valentines order. Upon arriving the person packaging pick up orders ignored me and a line of other guests for the first 5-10 min. After walking past me to talk to the customer behind me, I showed him my order number from the restaurant whose name was on top, which he dismissed and asked where that number came from, he suggested I had ordered from the wrong place. I told him it came from ordering on their website, which we do often, just as he was walking away again as I was still talking. At this point I was checking my email, where an email from the restaurant was sent saying our order had been cancelled. Then I showed him that email and asked if I could place the order. He said no, they were too busy. This was the worst customer service I recall ever having. The other outrageous part is the charge went to our card, where it said they’d refund in 3-5 days!

Looks like we need to find a new sushi restaurant, which isn’t too hard in the Valley.

Great place for sushi. I go here regularly. Most of the time, I get sashimi. Always great cuts and very tasty.

Food was delicious, our server didn't help us good. She forgot Wasabi and ginger. Also my misso soup. I had to ask her after our food was served.

I give it a C. The gorilla roll and baby lobster app simply didn’t taste good. And the roll was not very fresh.

Ok the prices aren’t quite tops reflecting really good sushi but they’re still jot cheap. I just blew $36 on a not enjoyable meal. I was hoping I could make it tasty with the side sauces but no, meh. Never achieved it.

It’s 20 mins later and I have a slight tummy stomach ache. Score‍️

I always go back to the keto-friendly specialty sushi they have there and they provide varieties of alternative wraps, such as cucumber or rice paper. Always have Great Presentations on food too I noticed

Loved this joint! From the service to the food, everything was perfect. Sushi was fresh and the bulgogi was. Our server was on top of it all and made sure we had everything we needed. I'll definitely be back.

Best Sushi I have ever had! Tried a little bit of everything. EVERYTHING was amazing. I would go here every week if I lived in CA.

Not great food and not very good looking. They are very inflexible with menu modifications, the menu doesn’t tell all the ingredients in the dish and you can be surprised. I order the fried calamari but 75% of the dish was fried jalapeños, which I don’t eat at all, and wasnt aware of it. Very disappointed and definitely won’t come back. There are many other places you can get better food, better service for the same price or even less.

Very fast and efficient service and the selection is amazing. Everything tasted really good as well.

One of my preferred places to grab something to eat.good location, always clean, and very good customer service. I highly recommend them!

Great handroll sushi with tasty rice and crispy nori. Friendly and fast service. Must have the nigori sake. No wait on a Sunday at opening time!

Very slow service. Came to pick up and order and was arrived the store manager told me it would be exactly 1 minute and I have a concert with him is it exactly 1 minute? And he replied again yes one minute exactly will be ready. Now it’s about 15 minutes and the order is not ready yet. And he keeps tell me one more minute. I don’t believe he understands what time is and how time is measured. Food is great however service is poor because they have so many orders and only one cook just the manager or I believe he’s the owner and one other person in the whole restaurant

Three sushi eas very good fresh and tasty. They had rolls I haven't seen elsewhere.
The sexy roll is very good, add was the baby lobster roll

I take my family to this nice place from time to time! This is my favorite restaurant to have a bite. I go to this spot regularly. The meals are of high quality, the workers are professional and the prices are affordable. I like eating in this place over a decent supper.

After going to 2 different places, and they both were on 45 minute wait times, we found Sushi Ran with better reviews, so we gave them a try, the food was great and the fish was fresh.

Really slow service for there only being another person when we got there. Low quality sushi. 5/5 would not come back
