Sushi Yoko, Gardena CA

I only gave it one star because of the bad customer service, I gave them a few changes picking up my orders but after the 4th time of them being rude I will never came back here.

Absolutely amazing. The service was top tier. I forgot my waiters name. But he was so kind. Even told us a joke lol. How do you say hi to a bee? Answer: Wassabee
It was funny. We also gave him a tip and he didn’t keep it lol he placed it in the house tip jar. The food was amazing and the place was quite.

Place was clean, reasonable prices, I ordered extra toppings and it was done perfectly, this will be a regular spot for me

Very good sushi. A little bit expensive for me, but that’s how good sushi usually are. And pretty quiet too so you can enjoy you’re meal privately with your friends and family.

Sushi was worst than supermarket quality sushi and the chicken was old and dry almost like rubber, terrible place DONT GO!

Visited for lunch with my family and parents in August and the staff were eating at the tables and it seemed like an effort for them to seat us. As we began to order, they unapologetically said they could not deliver anything with tempura as their fryer was broken. With so many sushi places in the area, pass on this one as there are plenty others that would be much happier to have your business.

Delicious! The prices were a little high but that's pretty much the norm these days. We'll be going back. Oh and the folks that helped me with my takeaway order were so nice.

This place has some amazing sushi and sake. The owner is also an awesome guy, cheering for sake time and always putting a smile on everyone's faces. It was a really fun and comfortable atmosphere inside, even before the drinks started flowing. Easily one of my favorite sushi restaurants of all time.

I ordered 2 California Rolls and it was delicious. I definitely loved the Vanilla mochi my mom and I ordered. My mother and I loved it. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

Great sushi.but I had a awkward experience.so we ate.six of us.we had a great meal.upon paying. My dad payed.his older so he didn't see the total.so he signed the receipt when he payed with his credit card.we all sat there for couple minutes.walked to the parking lot.all of us got in the car.suddenly the lady from the sushi spot runs out. I mean runs out.she made my parents freak out.she said. "hey where's the tip" my parents said.we left the tip in the table. "she said" no u didn't tip on ur receipt. "
My dad, told her I can't see the print it's too small and the lighting is dimmed.
I guess she noticed our shocked and disbelieve.she said"no tip is ok".
My dad asked her then why did u rush outside to asked for tip then.plus we did leave a tip on the table.honestly this made us very uncomfortable.
Food is good.service was ok.but this kinda made us feel awkward.

Decided to try out a local sushi restaurant based on the great reviews I saw here and elsewhere. We ordered sushi combos along with the sexy roll for takeout.

The miso soup and the salad that came in the combo were fine - didn't stand out for better or worse - but that was the best part of the meal. The sushi was nearly inedible. The fish had an older, chewy texture to it and the rice had no flavor. The sexy roll didn't look anything like the picture. I did try a piece of it and had a hard time swallowing it. After we tried to brave through it, half the meal ended up in the trash.

The sushi at Sushi Yoko is severely disappointing, especially for the price. The large sushi combo is not much cheaper than a "Trust Me" meal at Sugarfish, but the quality is orders of magnitude worse. Perhaps their cooked food is better, but I won't be going there again to find out.

So I visited this place because it had good reviews.here's my review. Walked in and was greeted very nice, looked at the place is was very clean and smelling good and seated right away which was great. Looked at the menu and everything looked delicious. Very nice server came and took our order and was on the way. Ordered a chicken teriyaki and a California crunch roll, got some water to drink. Didn't take long for our food to arrive and was looking and smelling great. We started to eat and was tasting OK I wouldn't say it was the best I had but it was just OK. Idk wat it was but it was missing something. It wasn't bad or good it was just OK for me I would rate it at a 3 out of 5. And yes I'm talking about the sushi and the teriyaki plate. I would say the miso soup was very delicious I can't complain on that one. So I went with a friend and we both had that same feeling not just me. The food was missing some flavor, it was off by a bit. We still ordered one more to go to see if it was just the ones we ate there and yeah it was still off. Wasn't feeling this spot in taste wise, the portions were good the service was great the place was very great just the food was ok.follow me for more reviews

Great spot for Japanese cuisine. I like the variety of options and found the whole experience very nice. Would recommend for anyone looking for a great local spot.

Excellent food and reasonably priced. The staff is incredibly friendly, was given a free tempura roll as well which was also amazing. If I lived in the area I would likely visit every week

Great place to eat, always take the wife here when I can.yes it's a little small and never had an issue with over crowding. The staff is very welcoming once you come in.

Bento Box with chicken teriayki, chicken katsu & spicy tuna roll with toro sushi (tuna belly). Super!
