Swagat Indian Cuisine, Stockton CA

This place is stinking badly, it’s hard to stand outside the bathrooms and bathrooms are very nasty and unhygienic. It was hard to stand there for few minutes also.

I enjoy the food, yet the service sucks. I have to get up from my table and ask to refill my water.

Great food, but don’t order through Beyond Menu. They never check for those orders, so you order, pay the convenience fee, go to pick up, and then have to order again and wait because they never noticed the order come in. They need to just stop saying they use BM.

The food was below expectation. I ordered chicken handi. It looked like the chef just boiled everything together and added spices over it. Poor quality.

Me and my boyfriend are regular customer and love to eat here. Good food as well many options

I absolutely love ordering from this place on door dash.i've dined-in a few times for the buffet and it has never disappointed me personally.i get take out more often though since i work nearby, and it's so delicious every time.just as great reheated in my opinion too, i usually end up having leftovers for my next meal break and it's more than well worth my money.

Just horrible! We took their dinner buffet option and it was just pathetic! Food tasted like it was steamed and spices mixed afterwards. There was no flavor and food tasted dry and stale!
They had tea included in their buffet which was the best part but the dispenser did not work. Even after complaining, it never got fixed. You had to pump 25 times to get a small cup.
The naan was good and that’s the only good thing I can say about their food.
Had to ask the waiter 3 times before we could get any napkins.
The AC was not working so it was 90 degrees Inside the restaurant. There were babies that were screaming on top of their lungs because it was so hot-poor parents, I feel for them.
This was the first and last time for me to this place.

Wife went out with mom &daughter, The waitress Indian short girl was very rude. She told us straight if you eat from buffet or order it’s same food. She can’t make on order cause it would be sane buffet food! Food was cold not delicious everything had same taste cause they don’t what is different dishes mean! Food meat quality was low we might get sick over eating old food! Most of ppl inside they dint knew how real Indian food tastes? Plz don’t tell them how come everything tastes the same? Service is bad they need to train their crew or That little Indian girl. She is rude mean and bad service plz don’t waste money?

This restaurant was the best in Stockton, CA. It has lost its flavor so, I hardly go over there. The prices of the dishes have sky rocketed.
When you dine in, you feel the heat.
It is a family owned business. The people are nice. I have taken several non-Indians here.

Try the buffet, if you are not familiar with Indian food. You get to try a variety of dishes from the buffet. The food is authentic Indian. They have North & South Indian dishes.
Try the rasam and sambar. They are my favorites. I like the rice & noodle dishes also. Anything cooked with beans, lentils (pulses) interest me.

Customer service is great. They treat you like their very own family members.

Went to this extremely clean and very ambient restaurant for a date night. I've eaten that very many Indian restaurants and this one is up near the top. When given the option of how spicy I wanted my dish, "as hot as they could possibly make it". That's my reply every time. Swagat finally met my request. They warned there's no sending the dish back! The chefs came out to make sure I was really going to eat the ghost pepper infused dish. Lol. The food is delicious, the service great, and the restaurant impeccably clean. Try it!

Really good food! My wife and I was in Stockton, and decided we were in the mood for some Indian food. Not going to lie, those low reviews almost scared us away, but after reading some of the low reviews, I concluded most complaints were from the buffet. Also, Indian food critics are tough, if you know, you know. We had the Butter Chicken, the Tandoori Chicken, Chilli Chicken, Garlic Naan and some vegetables Biryani. Almost forgot the food is Halal, big plus! Prices were reasonable given the flavor and portions.

My bf and I eat here when we get the chance and the food is amazing and fresh! We love coming here

The waiter was extra nice, the food was very good. The decor could definitely use an update everything was pretty dusty. Music is a little louder than it needs to be for a nice sit down dinner. Hope they see this review and make some changes I really think it would benefit them.

I read some negative review before going but I had a completely positive experience. Ordered the lamb curry thali. Everything came out really fast and piping hot. The thali is a good value. There was no buffet at the time. Ignore the negative reviews and give it a try.

Delicious halal food and excellent value with good portion size. An order of Biriyani and curry with naan comes with extra side of rice and biriyani sauce. Perfect for supplying my UOP student with affordable home cooked meals for days through out the week!

Food was good but washrooms were stinky ans service was very slow. It worth to wait for food.
