Swami's Cafe La Mesa

Dropped in for a quick beer. No food. Service from the gal was very friendly and prompt. Beer was ice cold. Nice little patio to sit on. Interior of the restaurant looks quite old and dated. Order counter was all the way in back, a bit odd. Hard to rate for just a beer, 5 stars for the cold one and service but the place itself seems tired. Will come back to try the food and hope to upgrade rating.

Highly recommend coming to this place for a delicious breakfast! The pancakes are HUGE! And the green juice 10/10

Over priced, way better options, these goons got me on a 18 dollar veggie burrito. I definitely could of made a better one at home.and definitely could purchase a way better one for cheaper. 0 stars won’t be going back

Poor communication, didn't understand English well, messed up my order after telling him 3 times, had to send back, told him I'm vegetarian, bacon all over my order. They fixed it, tasted great when I got it.

Food was great. Restaurant itself, not so much. Saw some bugs. Was in La Mesa.
Worth it for the food tho.

One of the best chilaquiles I've had. My wife got the acai bowl and it was fantastic. The portion sizes were perfect. I'd definitely come back when I'm in the area.

Come with an empty stomach. The portions are i salt big and tasty. Prices very well for the quality and taste. We had breakfast here two days in a row because we enjoyed it so much.

Strange that we never went to a Swamis Cafe. La Mesa had definitely delicious food. Got the Supreme Veggie Sandwich without cheese and a huge side of a leafy green salad, sorouts, tomatoes, and cucumber. I will be back soon

Came here on a Saturday morning for a late breakfast. Thankfully it wasn’t too busy and we immediately found a table. The way it works is you wait in line with a menu overhead. You order and pay and receive a number card. You find any open table to sit at (they have seating outside and inside) and they will bring you your food.

We ordered the chorizo hash and an omelette with well done home fries

Don’t let the picture fool you the home fries were perfectly crispy and paired well with ketchup and hot sauce. The omelette was also good as well as the chorizo hash. Both of us ended up needing a to go box because the portions are pretty large!

Overall love coming here for a no frills yummy experience.

After looking for a new spot to try we went with Swarmi's and no regrets what so ever. Great service and delicious food. Customer service was great we even bought a t-shirt to advertise. I will recommend and return

I am very impressed by a waiter name Roberto. It was at rush hour in the afternoon. He served ALL the tables by himself. He was organized, efficient, informative, and very polite. WOW! What an asset to swamis!

Lots of tasty menu items. Place was empty when I got there due to time of day. My guts and the fact that "all the food is poison" due to mental idiosyncrasies often force food choices and this was one of those days, so I got the club sandwich and was not disappointed.

Awesome gem. Every time I visit San Diego, I make sure to visit this restaurant. Authentic food and nice portions. Service is awesome, too.

10 put 10 for sure. Large portions of amazing dishes with fresh ingredients. Order at the counter, and they bring it to your table. Had a california chicken salad and avocado toast.
