Do NOT rent here. I had moved here in early 2021 into a one-bedroom apartment because that was all I could afford at the time. Yes, utilities are included (besides gas/electric) and rent is cheap but there are reasons why.

Maintenance - Unless your maintenance issue was water-related, maintenance requests did not seen to in a timely manner. I had a busted garbage disposal that did not get repaired until the maintenance guy came in for a separate issue (unbeknownst to be, there was water leaking from the shower into the apartment below) and I had reminded that there was a repair issue without repair for a few days. This was just one of several examples of repairs not being done, even after calls and additional requests.

Management - She will blame you for every little thing, even if it was not your fault. I had submitted my Intent to Moveout in August 2022, as we had saved enough money to move elsewhere, and on September 29th, 2022, I was called during work by the landlord about a large recliner that was left out by the garbage bins. As soon as I answered my phone, she immediately gave me attitude and blamed me for putting a recliner by the garbage bins. NOTE: I never had a recliner and our moveout date was not until late October. During this call, I had asked the landlord if anyone else had been moving out, the first time I asked, she said "No, you are the only tenants moving out soon. " I had asked later on in the conversation if anyone had moved out recently and she had changed her previous answer entirely. She said "Another tenant is moving out October 1st. " So, someone else was moving out before us. Like maintenance issues, this was just one of our issues that we had come across with the landlord.

Moveout inspection - as per California Civil Code 1950.5, California residents are entitled to a pre-move out inspection, should they ask for one. We had scheduled three (3) separate pre-move out inspections, all within the legal statute of CCC 1950.5 and all three (3) were not met by the property. Multiple phone calls and emails were met with "Sorry, we'll try again on another date. " We had taken time off work to attend these inspections, not one was adhered to. I had carefully photographed the entirety of the apartment before moving out. If you move in here, I strongly encourage you to document everything.

Security deposit - our security deposit was not returned within the required 21 days, per California law. Our deposit was returned two months after our moveout date - but only after we had to threaten with legal recourse.
