Sylvan has been absolutely amazinggg! It has helped sooooo much to improve math and reading skills! I would choose Sylvan over any other tutoring!

Sylvan has been such a great help for our 5 year old daughter! According to her school she scored at grade level but was behind for her class. Sylvan was exactly what she needed to give her that extra boost! She enjoyed going 2x/week and the teachers were very kind and encouraging, especially Ms. Megan. Our daughter now has more confidence and the skills needed to excel in school, thank you Sylvan!

Sylvan Learning truly makes a difference! Since attending this program, our grandson’s reading abilities, math skills, and self-confidence have remarkably improved. The directors, teachers, and staff take the time to identify what the child needs, and work with the child accordingly. Many years ago, Sylvan made a difference in our daughter’s academic progress. As such, we knew the right "gift" for our grandson to improve his reading and math skills. We highly recommend this program; and love the Long Beach location where he currently attends.

My child was having trouble in his math class in middle school. He did not do well as an independent learner during covid when the schools were closed down. I tried to help him myself & progress was slow for him. I reached out to Sylvan Learning Center for help. The site director gave us a tour of the center & explained how it works. They did a math assessment & explained the results to me. The director gave us a plan on how we could bring him up to grade level.
My child has been in the program for a month & his self confidence & attitude has significantly improved. He likes going to his sessions, he feels he is making progress.
The director also gives frequent progress reports so I know what is going on. The staff is friendly and the equipment is current with technology. It's a good investment for your students future to attend if you can.

My son fell behind during the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting school closures. Sylvan has been instrumental in catching him back up. The staff is kind and responsive and we are so grateful for their help.

I have seen progress with my child’s academics. Sylvan is a good for customizing lessons for the individual child. This is great!

Would recommend. Both my girls have taken classes here. The kids have enjoyed the classes, and I think it was great value for the money spent. They always learn a lot, and enjoy their time at Sylvan.

My daughter started the reading and vocabulary program a little after the school year had just started. She was struggling and not having the type of confidence that she should have had going into the second grade. The distance learning the year before definitely attributed to that. With just two hours a week, we see an improvement instantly. Her teacher notices a big change in confidence and participation. We get to see how she has progressed through the program with their monthly assessments. Fast forward to the end of the school year and she's reading into the third and fourth grade levels. She will be starting the writing program for the summer and we couldn't be more excited for her. I am happy that we found a program that my daughter enjoys. We couldn't have made a better decision in choosing Sylvan for our daughter.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE SYLVAN LEARNING! They take the time to find out exactly what area and skill your child needs to be successful and work on that until your child not only understands the skill but that they are also confident that they can share what they have learned. They are consistent with monitoring your child's progress. My son loves every tutor he works with and Alex is just the best. She breaks down the study plan and gives us detailed information about what tools will help our son. We saw a change right away amd we continue to see progress reflected in his school work and how he communicates with the family. We are here because of the success of the program and the professionalism of the tutors and Alex. During our conferences Alex is transparent, direct, caring, understanding, and encouraging. Due to the Pandemic alot of our children have some gaps that need to be filled that it challenging to get in school. This program fills those gaps and takes your child to the next level. I 1000% recommend Sylvan Learning to anyone trying to get their child the customized individual support they need to succeed.

My daughter started going to Sylvan in October of 2021. She’s in 2nd grade and tested at late kindergarten. Although the price can be a little shocking I do not regret it AT ALL. This place is truly phenomenal. The staff are all wonderful and the program they use really works. I couldn’t be happier with placing her here. (And yes I researched several other options because of the price but you really do get what you pay for.) So if you want your child to succeed and really get some confidence and educational skills I HIGHLY recommend Sylvan. And the best part of it…. My kid actually likes coming here. She has made some new friends and loves they’re incentive program. Thanks Sylvan, YOU GUYS ROCK!

My son goes one day out the week for two hours; it’s only been 3 weeks and I and his teacher see a great advancement in him already. It’s like a light bulb came on! I’m extremely happy with the service and would recommend any grade school students with challenges to please contact Sylvan. Flexible hours, flexible payment plans… they make it easy to help your student. I’m a happy happy customer!

I have a six year old and during Quarantine she missed lots of learning. She’s currently homeschooled and coming to Sylvan has helped her not only to boost her Confidence but as well academically.
It is a very Welcoming environment the fact she loves coming here is a plus. She has Improved so much, and I know it will only get better!

My granddaughter has been attending the Sylvan learning center for the past year and a half. I have been and continue to be very impressed with her progress, their staff and approach towards her supplemental learning. She has grown to know all the tutors and looks forward to going each week. I would highly recommend the Sylvan Learning center to all.

I would highly recommend this program. My son has ADHD and has been left behind and looked over by every teacher he's had. My meeting at the end of month one was like a miracle had happened. The words they used to describe my son was the EXACT opposite I've ever been told. The program is very expensive, that is the only downside. But it is the only one that has allowed my son to flourish in learning!

At Sylvan I have gained confidence and grown as a student as my understanding of concepts has improved. Sylvan helped me when I was feeling lost and my teacher went too fast, or maybe didn’t exactly teach well. I am lucky that I get the extra support and someone who can help fill in the cracks as my mom says.
