Synovation Medical Group - Torrance reviews
15 Office staff is not worth their pay. The assistant for Dr Bustos is a joke. To top it all off there is Dr. Bastos. What a nonprofessional hack. A disgrace to his profession. Bedside manner is nonexistent. Met with him for about two minutes and I am very happy to say I was glad to get out of his sight.
His suggestion was surgery or a cortisone shot, when the regime I was on was working just fine. I am seeking out another pain management.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO TO A PROFESSIONAL and get some help because this office on the whole was a bust.
I have been there once for an epideral & I continue to have pain. I have called many times to to Dr. Minkoff to perscribe me pain meds & it's been a month that they haven't called me back. I am in constant pain & I need something to relieve my constant pain. They're so unprofessional.
I called in for an appointment and they told me they'd call back. One star for not calling me back. I'm done with them. I'm going back to my primary to find another pain management doctor. Their front desk just doesn't care.
Dr. Bustos is ok BUT his staff is trash. These ladies are EXTREMELY unprofessional. That’s for the front and office staff! I would give negative stars if I could.
Doctor Bustos is the best greatest doctor I've had he doesn't give me any hard time with my meds n he never makes me wait I'm in n out 30mints tops
Had a problem getting a pain med prescription refiled due to complications regarding insurance time allowance (too soon). Extra med had been written due to extreme surgery pain. My pharmacy called to explain need to get ahold of doctor and the assistant stated I would just have to wait until original fill date. Pharmacy just needed to access the doctor. This person was not helpful or sympathetic to my situation. This was Tuesday and told me unless she gets doctor to call would have to go til Monday for pain meds. Telling a person in extreme pain that they will have to go without meds for 5 days is just totally unbelievable. She was also rude to my pharmacist who was going the extra mile to help a patient. This assistant acted like were bothering her. A person in this field should helpful not rude! Also trying to get through to office is very difficult. I love Dr. Devalon. Its some of the front staff who need some sympathy training
I know I am not the only person who has had a bad experience with the Torrance office.

Completely incompetent staff and pets are treated better by a veterinarian. Don't expect anything. Can be reached by phone maybe 2% of the time. These people think everyone in pain, acute or chronic, is a drug seeking addict and less than human. Should be shut down or audited by the AMA.
I give you a 10 for kindness, understanding, and showing how much you care about your patients well being will recommend family and friends for therapy and pain reduction
This Medical Group does not show too much care for you. I can't even get a Doctor or anyone to return my calls.
Just got home from getting an epidural. It was quick, easy and pretty painless. Dr. Bustos and his assistant did a great job. Saw Dr. Franceschi last week for a consoltaion, he was very friendly, likeable, LISTENED and was very thorough and informative in explaining things. This is the fourth pain management doctor (s) that I have been to and by far the best. Took them one week to get the procedure I needed, something the other three could not do at all. I highly recommend Synovation Medical Group Pain Management!
WORST DOCTOR'S EXPERIENCE EVER THE DOCTOR WAS VERY DISRESPECTFUL AND DID NOT EVEN EXPLAIN MY RESULTS SO I WOULD UNDERSTAND TO ME IT WAS JUST COME IN SO THEY CAN GET PAID FOR A VISIT AND THAT WAS THAT JUST DISCUSTING AND RUDE!
I wouldn't send my worst enemy there! Totally unprofessional, lack of compassion, and inappropriate care.
Poor customer service. I was 10 min late due to parking issues in their parking area and the cancelled my appointment due office rule they have that say you cannot be be more then 5 min late.
And when I ask if I can see another Doctor the receptionist say no I have to the doctor I was scheduled to see.
Synovation needs to rethink this rule especially when construction is occurring in their building and patient with walking disabilities can’t walk as fast. Ok
****new update** talked to Mariana who in turn defended her people and refuse to treat me. ******update****** finally I get in to see and after 4 visits I finally get a pain epidermal and it was great. Had a few minor problems but all was ok. Last month a 2nd epidermal which made my pain twice as bad. I called and talked clinic and got no where and same with call center. They didn't call back. Jivonni and Eda who work for dr Susan messed around with my Appts and prescriptions. Ethan was supposed call me back per call center but I had call him back following day. His excuse I had a full patient load. Today Dr Susan discharged me from southbay pain center i was referred to them in early march of this year.everytime i called auto voice mail said leave your name and number and we will return your call.after all of a week no one called me back.i called again for next 2 weeks with same results. I called again today march 26th and actually had 2 calls back but the on duty manager had decided to leave early until next week, now i had already reported this office and my PCP to Lahealth and carefirst.bunch of idiots want to verify everthing but refuse to help me
Have been a patient here for years and never had a problem until was changed to a new PA, Michael Gellar, I was treated with disrespect for the first time. He continue his arrogant disrespectful attitude in 4 visits in which I had no choice but to see him. I now have left this office in tears again. I will suffer before I will allow a PA to treat me in the way he has. The office acts like they care but then don't return calls to patient or CVS pharmacy. This is the first review I have ever written. I am writing because my family encourage me to file a complaint with medical board. I encourage anyone needing a trusting pain management to look elsewhere.
