T-Kumi Ramen & Rice Bowl reviews
16Located in West Davis, at the Westlake plaza on the second floor. Ramen, rice bowls, and tea drinks. Walk in, order at the tablet or front counter, there are many options and combos as well. I ordered a tonkotsu ramen for dine-in ($15.73 with tax). You pick where you sit, and you will get served your food. I do love the amount of chashu pieces, but I think the chashu can be char for flavor. The broth is pretty salty, water cups are available. In terms of the size, there was enough noodles, toppings, protein in the ramen. Overall, a great place to get ramen or rice bowls or boba. As for the restroom, it is outside, make sure you the front counter for the code.
Top quality ramen. This is NOT Costco or instant ramen. If you want to spend a little bit more for good ramen this is the place for you. Having travelled to Japan a couple of times I do at times compare the quality. T-Kumi is as close to what I have experienced. The broth and noodles alone speak for itself. Sure, broth should be thicker, but thicker broth means more fat. A thinner broth is just fine.
Restaurant is alright but I would not recommend their ramen. Tonkotsu ramen's broth is too thin, not creamy nor have the rich flavor that it is supposed to have, the broth also have a hint of sweetness (I assume comes from the corn) that does nothing for the dish and ruins broth flavor even more. Egg is literally just soft boiled with no marinade at all, 0 flavor whats so ever. Noodle is below average, the only alright part of the ramen is the chashu which tasted alright. If you are looking for authentic ramen this is the wrong place for that.
Ordered food for delivery. There was no meat in 2 of our 3 ramens. Super disappointed. Broth was ok. Probably wouldn't go back. There are better places close by
I had the ramen, and the Broth isn't bad, but the noodles remind me of Cup of noodles soup. Not sure how this place has so many stars from everyone else. They also forgot to add the meat. Sooo
Absolutely delicious! One of the best ramen places I've been to!
I highly recommend coming here and getting ramen and their frozen coffee.
They were playing the nightmare before Christmas on the TV fun little spot, good food, good service, enjoyed atmosphere. Comfortable chairs. Intimate.
Homey, well decorated and friendly, affordable lunch or dinner spot. Great for students or families, friendly and helpful staff.
The Katsu chicken bowl comes with edamame, seaweed salad and rice in a bowl, good combination
Been here before and their only redeeming part was the popcorn chicken. It was amazing. Went back today and they completely changed it. Literally gave us chicken nuggets. Won't be returning and I hope they close so something decent can take over
I will be honest because i assume that is what we are here for.
The food is oily and cheap (quality not price). The cost is the opposite of cheap. Its weird because this place could occupy such a solid niche of being low medium quality food and cheap price. Perfect for a college town, right? Right?
Instead the price is like unreasonably high for what they know is low quality food. We arent mad about low quality high price food because we are used to that capitalist abuse, but more just dissapointed they dont occupy the niche they clearly should be filling.
Spent $70 for two people.
God love them.
The foods are variety and they're all so good! I love Thai green tea and I always get that one all the times. The prices are not expensive and foods are quality. Friendly staffs
My first time here, the food was okay. I felt the noodles and soup had no flavor. I used soy sauce and salt I found in my purse to help flavor it
The portions of food you typically get are well worth your money, especially when you order a ramen with a side dish. That being said, the ramen is a little bland, in my opinion, but still hits the spot if you're just looking for a quick meal. The snacks are pretty good, too. I've ordered the calamari and fries before. The Thai tea was surprisingly strong and not watery at all. There's free wifi and always a random movie playing on the TV, so it's a nice place to hang out and grab a bite.
T-Kumi is the best. Tasty food, casual atmosphere, great staff. Sometimes we get invested in whichever movie they’re playing on the TV and we go home to watch it all the way through
