Special ordered a Garden Salad with Chicken. They have the meats and the ranch chipotle dress is the only dressing I’ll get. Wish they sold it in a bottle

Everybody is so friendly & helpful. All of the food we've eaten from here has been exceptional. I recommend it to tons of people.

I know that 5 stars is common for me that's because I don't like rating places that suck. I am posting pictures of my favorite item on the menu, it's their tri tip sandwich. I opened it up to show off the 16 ounces of tender smoky truly amazing meat. Served on a toasted garlic french bread, onions peppers bbq sauce, outstanding. They have a great menu with trucker size breakfast, lot's of burgers and sandwiches. Thier is a really good reason to go to Spreckels CA.

Told my wife about this place, I ended up bringing her, she wasn't disappointed at all. Excellent taste, Excellent flavor. I ended up taking a second trip tip home. Highly recommend this place.

I am going there to buy a plate with all their different meats and bring it home. I had a Southwest salad and the chicken was Amazing. Great food and Great Service. The Young Grey haired lady was terrific. Coming back now.

Might well be the best tri tip sandwich I have ever eaten in my entire life. And “Grandma” who helped keep the dining room running made the meal that much more enjoyable!

Pretty good food. Went there for Mothers Day. Not sure if the entire menu was available but we ordered off the much smaller menu they gave us. Each mother was given a rose which was a very nice touch. 5 star not given for small reasons. The Mother Trucker omelotte and potatoes needed a little more taste.like maybe adding bell peppers to it. Ketchup handed out in packets.we like it out of a bottle. Coffee came in a paper cup.we prefer a real ceramic mug. Definitely worth a visit. Black Bear Diner still number 1 around here.

UPDATE March 2023: Been there 3 more times in the past 12 months. Food is ALWAYS excellent. Especially the BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich. The service is not so great. Here is why: When you walk up to order and pay, their payment system ASKS you for a tip before you even get your food. NO WAY. I will tip if the service is above and beyond and certainly never before I even get my food! The last two times one of us was served about 5 minutes before the other person. I had my lunch almost completed before my wife was even served. And then.my wife said "Thank You" to the lady bringing our food and she replied "NO PROBLEM". Not.sorry for the delay but NO PROBLEM. Like I said.not very good service. But the food is great,

I only came to eat here for one reason.
I seen that they had a breakfast burrito called The Destroyer.
It wasn't anything like I expected.
Really disappointed!

My favorite spot for lunch. Amazing hotdogs, sandwiches, and burgers.
Very friendly staff, all food freshly made to order. I usually get their hotdogs, pozole, and burgers, and I've never heard anything bad about all of their other items.
