Possibly the best Mexican food I've ever had. My husband ordered the oyster starter. It was fantastic! The shrimp on top seemed to be ceviche and were wonderful, as was the dipping sauce. Definitely a little spice to it.
I had the carne asada plate. The steak was cooked to perfection, the house made flour tortillas were wonderful. The tomatillo cilantro rice was the best rice I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. I would go back over and over to have this dish, but would change the pinto beans for the black beans.
My husband had the grilled poblano pepper with chicken. It came on a bed of black beans. It was fantastic. He said he would love to go back tonight, just for the fabulous food.
I had the margarita flight, I liked them all, but when I go again, I would have the Cadillac margarita. My husband had it, and it was fantastic. Classic, no sugary mixes.
The service was fantastic. We were hungry so went around 5: 30. No issues getting a table wherever we wanted sit. Host staff very accommodating when we decided to sit outside after being sat at a seat in the indoor/outdoor section. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. I can't recommend enough, and to go back soon!

Absolutely delightful time at Tac/Quila. We had the shrimp tacos along with the Pozole. Extremely flavorful and well cooked. Had the margarita flight to drink - all of them are delicious! If you happen to be in DT Palm Springs, please do yourself a favor and check this place out.

Love this place. Belly u to the bar and get to know the bartenders. The drinks are fabulous. Also love the food, except the crab cakes, not so great, but everything else is fantastic!

Location and decoration is great, service was wonderful, but this is not your traditional Mexican cuisine. It’s a fancy take on Mexican food. Got the corn salad, no salt no flavor. I had the chicken fajitas which was good but rice tasted too strong of cilantro, no flavor or salt, same with the pinto beans. There is no free chips and salsa, no Mexican coke.

A “must stop” if you’re in Palm Springs. We were in town for a wedding and loved it so much the first night for dinner that we went back a second time for after dinner drinks. The drinks are incredible w some awesome combinations. The service is super and my boyfriend said the tomatillo and cilantro “green rice” was the best he’s ever had! Sit at the bar at least once to watch the incredible bartenders.

Smaller dishes but cool atmosphere. You can easily get lost looking for your room if you leave it. I may have been dehydrated but I needed more salt. It’s Palm Springs so most likely needed electrolytes

Hostess reception was short with a frown. It felt like we were an inconvenience to her. Margarita was overpriced and food was disappointing. Overall experience was average.

Absolutely satisfied, walked in around 9: 30 took a seat at the friendly bar near the cozy fireplace full of other guests ordered delicious drinks and was offered menus even though the kitchen was closing soon. The food was so delicious, I had to ask the bartender where we were. (Our first time to PS) We took our foodie friends back there the next evening for the most fabulous dinner. The staff was so accommodating with our reservation mix up, too. We voted them the best oysters and our drinks were once again amazing. We'll be back. Thank you TAC Quila for making our Trip worthwhile.

Over rated… over priced. Reviews must all
Be from family.

Pretentious. Lovely atmosphere. Waiters are condescending. Food is beautifully presented but taste and quality is average

What a dreadful restaurant. Service is atrocious And it’s a complete tourist trap. The food is extremely expensive with very small portions and they don’t believe in any kind of seasoning - Not even salt. We ordered guacamole and salsa, The grilled avocado salad, and a beef fajita. We had to add salt to everything, including the guacamole and salsa. We also ordered the Margarita sampler. After we sat down, we waited 20 minutes before we had to finally ask someone to send over the Waitress. They have plenty of staff but none of them can be bothered. We watched them walking around talking, applying lipstick, handling iPad, etc… we tried to get their attention but they were not interested. One of the servers was carrying plates and cups, and as he was walking, everything was spilling out on the floor. The fajita was $34 and I don’t think there was 4 ounces of beef on the plate. The portion was ridiculously small for the price they were charging. They are very proud of their flour tortillas. It was a piece of cardboard paper. I have never eaten a flour tortilla that was harder or more chewy. Grilled avocado salad for $18 was mostly Romain lettuce. They even charged extra for a few pieces of shredded carrots. There was supposed to be a lime, cilantro dressing, but you couldn’t taste the lime and it was sickly sweet. The best margarita in the sampler was the blackberry and we ordered an extra one but it only arrived after we were already done with our Meal. I do not recommend this restaurant. The bill came to $103.

Very expensive. Great services. Great food! Be careful with the high-priced add-ons. The bill was over a hundred dollars w/o tip or drinks; water only. Three people but two shared a meal.

It’s rare to dine at a place where you can’t decide if the food or the drinks are better. Easily the best meal of 2023 for me. Not to mention the staff and service were top notch. LEGENDARY restaurant

I have been to this place twice. Once after they opened, and another time yesterday. And there was a huge difference in almost every aspect of it. Yesterday, I ordered stuffed peppers, and my companion ordered tacos. The food came out 5 minutes after we ordered it. This means that some of the ingredients have been sitting at the kitchen for a while. Unsurprisingly, it tasted only average. I always wanted to come back to the restaurant after the first time, but NOT after yesterday.

Delicious food and fantastic drinks. It was cold outside, but we sat indoors near the fireplace and were nice and toasty despite the patio doors being open. Very nice meal!

The hostess informed us that our reservation was cancelled because we were 10 minutes late. I informed her that we arrived on time and stood in line for 10 minutes. She gave us the cheap seats in the middle of foot traffic. Had a house Margarita that was weak and overpriced. Server attentiveness and food were average at best. Really no reason for us to repatronizes their business. Their competitors are outperforming them.

Really overrated. Solid service, but food isn’t great. Guacamole was really bland, and our entrees were cold. Chicken tacos were tasteless and dry. The restaurant was pretty loud and tables are very close to each other. Pick somewhere else in Palm Springs

Our final meal in PS, and it didn't disappoint. We popped in for an early lunch before or flight. Made a reservation the night before, but wouldn't have needed to. That said, we walked by the night before and they were packed, so I would recommend making one.

I started with the margarita tasting, which was both adorable and tasty. They were all good, but the passion fruit was my favorite.

We then shared the shrimp tacos, the carne asada (we really wanted the carnitas, but the meat wasn't ready yet at 11am), the short rib enchiladas, and the street corn. Everything was wonderful. The tacos outshined the enchiladas a bit for me, but not my much, though the creme on the shrimp taco was maybe the best thing all day. Corn was also very tasty and love that I didn't have to gnaw it off the cob.

Service was also very friendly and well timed.

As a bonus, there was a hummingbird buzzing around having its own lunch at each vase at the open tables, which was beautiful to watch.
