Honestly, some of the best tacos in town.
The meat here is amazing. Carnitas is definitely the best in town, but carne asada is also amazing.

They don't give out chips free, but at 2 bucks (2/10/22) it's not bad to grab a bag and enjoy the salsa bar.

They have great food and warm service. A great place for a quite take out lunch or dinner.

Food was top tier, whole family loved their order! Best shrimp burrito I have had. The shrimp were large and cooked just right. Portions and meat ratio was very generous too! Chips were hot and fresh. Flaming hot jalapenos at the salsa bar! Been a long time since I had to run for milk, it was great! Service was awesome too!

Definitely coming back.

Had the pork street tacos and my hubby had the Carnea Sada Burrito. Yummy. This will be our Friday meal for bowling. Really recommend!

I was really excited about the menu and location. The salsa bar is fresh and there is plenty to choose from. The staff was very friendly. I got the Sonora burrito. It was so good! The only downside is that I believe the chili relleno chili was canned. It was a very light green compared to a fresh chili which would be a dark green. Not too big of a just something I noticed. I will be going back.

Taco Shop El Rey can always be counted on for a delicious, filling, and reasonably priced meal. We are regulars and have never had a bad bite of food there since they opened.

This place is awesome! The only down fall we have is it's so close to the office! Inspectors need to be able to crawl homes and delicious burritos don't help. But we can't stop

At $1.50 each their Sunday street taco promotion can’t be beat. Even at full price they are a great deal, you can’t even buy a burger at that price. Plus service was fast and friendly. As pictured, only $4.50 cash.

It use to be the best Mexican food in sonora recently the last 2 times I've eatin there the food was sub-par yesterday 9/1/21 was my last time eating there the Chile rellenos were burnt the rice was old and the beans were runny like a person with covid since eating there I have been inand outta the bathroom every 20 minutes on average since 8am this morning i had previously made a great review I Apologize to anyone who ate there looking at my review I will no longer eat there they lost a good frequent customer.forever bye

If I could leave them a lower review i would. I'm not going to get into details because i could write an entire book on it. Well, to sum it up it was the worst customer service I've seen in my entire life and I wish I was exaggerating.

This place has really upped their game recently, moving from an adequate place to grab a quick bite to a place to go for fantastic food!

The food is great. Never displeased with the food. Everytime I call to place and order they pick up and immediately hang up. Happened 3 times in a row. So I figured they are busy. I come in the to place order and the young lady who took my order was just rude. Rolled her eyes while i was ordering. And when i went to sign the receipt she thru the receipt and just walked away. No pen, no acknowledgment. Then when my food was ready she dropped it in my hands and turned around and said nothing. She was a delight with all the other customers though. Now I understand this job can be non stop and we are all human but, I felt like a inconvenience. I'll see what happens next time.

First visit there was hoping for an awesome cheese enchiladas came out and cheese un melted. This was a walk in take out order.
Took it back in minutes after done, and cook came out and said the microwave cooked it to temp and customers don’t usually eat the take out for 30 minutes so it steams inside the foam box. So it will be fine.negative 5stars in my book because they didn’t do their jobs and customer service sucked.

We barely noticed this restaurant next to Habitat Thrift store. We were pleasantly surprised at the amount of food we got with our tacos with beans and rice and chips.

The best Mexican food you can ever eat, not because of fake cheese sauce but because of their authenticity! Whenever we’re in Sonora we eat here! Love Sunday Taco deal!

Very good food, lots of variety and reasonable prices. The portions make this a great value.
