This place rules Bryn is the best my 2003 VW Golf TDI hasn’t run this good for 1 1/2 years! I wish I would have brought it here sooner. No surprises here they let you know what they need to do and make sure it’s running right with no delays my car was fixed with care in a timely manner again I can’t believe how good my car runs thanks Bryn!

Our ML63 with the m157 motor blew a coolant line while towing and camping in Tahoe. We were 600 miles from home and stressed to find a shop with experience and willingness to work on such a complicated twin turbo AMG. Bryn was the answer. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable in her craft, she took apart the front of the engine to help address the issue and tackle a few other items that were needed. Communication was stellar and the confidence she portrayed was backed up with excellent workmanship!

I must admit I was hesitant to use Tahoe Import Auto's services based on the negative reviews. HOWEVER.my experience was excellent! I had a coolant leak in my Audi and I was able to get my car in rather quickly compared to everywhere else I called that had a month-out waiting list. I experienced great customer service and my car was in the shop for only 1 1/2 days tops and it's been over a month now since my car was serviced and it's running very smoothly! Professional, honest, and thorough. Went in to get my high idle checked out because it didn’t sound right in my eyes, and found some other issues. So thankful for the thoroughness fixed a few things that could have become really bad if not for that.always a great experience when I’ve had to get work done and appreciate the timely manner. My car got taken care of and is running better than ever. Thank you!

Had a horrible experience at 'Tahoe Import Auto' during my Lake Tahoe visit. Overcharged for towing, met with rudeness and incompetence at the shop, and had to guide them through simple fixes. Left with a hefty bill, lost time, and zero apologies.

My weekend trip to Lake Tahoe took a turn for the worse when my BMW decided not to recognize its key fob. Panicking, I called 'Tahoe Import Auto', and the individual on the phone seemed reassuring. They even suggested a towing company. My initial shock came when the towing service charged $200 for just 1.7 miles.

Arriving at 'Tahoe Import Auto', the individual at the desk, presumably named Bryn, didn't offer a warm welcome or even introduce themselves. Instead, I was met with a cold demeanor and told that my car wouldn't be looked at until the next day. Despite my questions, I got no answers about potential timelines or the nature of the diagnostics. What I did receive was a document authorizing a $420 inspection charge. Left with little choice, I approved it, hoping for some clarity the next day.

The following morning, however, was marked by silence. No call from the shop. When I tried reaching out, I was met with an answering machine. Concerned about my situation, I did some personal research and found that newer BMWs sometimes faced issues due to computer malfunctions, often resolved by a simple battery reset. Another attempt to contact the shop and discuss this potential solution yielded no results, so I left a voice message and headed there in person.

After waiting for 35 minutes, Bryn emerged, attending to another customer before me. Their explanation was vague at best, painting a grim picture of my car's state. When I broached the subject of the battery reset, they dismissed me outright, insisting they knew best. Reluctantly, they agreed to try the reset after lunch.

I came back at 1 PM and waited until the reset was done and my car's engine roared to life. Yet, Bryn kept pushing the narrative that my vehicle should stay at the shop, citing a myriad of potential issues including power steering. My own simple Internet research indicated that the power steering sensor on BMW needed calibration after a battery reset. I had to explicitly direct Bryn to take this action, meeting resistance at every turn. Hours later, when I came back, my car was waiting outside, showing no signs of the problems Bryn had earlier highlighted.

The cherry on top? A bill of $280 with the flimsy justification of "charging only for two hours of work". In the end, I lost a day, had an unplanned overnight stay, and shelled out $420 for a procedure that takes less than 30 minutes. I can't help but feel that, had I not intervened, I would've been billed more and left stranded for days.

It's disheartening to think that businesses like 'Tahoe Import Auto' can operate, seemingly preying on unsuspecting visitors to Lake Tahoe.

Made an appointment, lady was rather rude, but thought I should give them a try. I showed up, rude lady was 25 minutes late. Overall bad vibe. Wasted 2 hours of my time and accomplished nothing.

Extremely rude. Called to get a quote for an oil change and received an extremely rude attitude from the woman on the phone who couldn’t be bothered to give me a quote even after I gave the VIN number to determine the exact number of cylinders in my car. Will never be going here for any service when there are plenty of other friendly shops who are more than happy to take my money.

** Editing to add more details after the (still rude) reply from the business below: The staff member on the phone wanted to know how many cylinders my car had to provide a quote. I wasn't sure how many cylinders my trim had so she asked for the VIN (in addition to the make, model, year). Staff member took my VIN and told me I'd need to wait **several hours** for her to call back with a quote based on my VIN. I could have easily looked up the number of cylinders myself in 1 or 2 minutes while we were on the phone and I thought that is what the staff member was planning to do, but she seemed too impatient to wait for me to get the information myself. NO OTHER BUSINESS in the area needed the number of cylinders of my vehicle in order to provide a quote, and most other businesses were able to accommodate a same-day oil change. Those businesses that were not able to accommodate a same-day oil change apologized that they couldn't fit me in that day, or politely told me that they were booked out for a while, and refrained from the urge to rudely imply that I was crazy for expecting to be able to get an oil change from them on relatively short notice. I highly recommend you go elsewhere - OIL CHANGERS and BIG BRAND TIRE & SERVICE were both extremely friendly and provided quotes over the phone without the need for VIN or number of cylinders and were happy to try to squeeze me in for an oil change the same day or early the next day. I would give my money to them and avoid this place like the plague unless you enjoy being treated poorly and begging to give your money to a place that simply doesn't want your business.

Came to the the shop for an oil change The process was really smooth and fast. Bryn was very thorough and amazing. She checked the fluids and looked over the car made sure everything was in good condition. I would definitely recommend this shop for anyone in need of an oil change or any work on their car/truck! Bryn is the best!

Needed an emergency repair on my X2 and Bryn came through for me. Really appreciate the responsiveness and the work done was great.

Bryn was extremely helpfull i def reccomend this shop for import owners.they where quick on my diagnostic told me what was my issue no Bull sht and got it done in a timely manner.i will def be using this shop for all my future repairs.prices are also very reasonable

Spent a few grand, didn’t fix a thing. All the issues I arrived with I still have. Said I would get a call back when “the guy who knows codes” comes in. Nothing. It’s now at the dealership. Don’t waste your time.

Vehicle went in with no leaks, just wasn’t wanting to start they gave me my vehicle back with coolant dumping out, lower rad hose disconnected and found another leak now having to pay someone else to fix there bad work
