Great place to rent a kayak (or SUP for that matter). Easy online registration and payment, car parking provided, and uncomplicated service. Will use again in the future.

I've been coming to TPO for at least 15 years, for good reason. Ethan and his staff are really nice, helpful and caring. The equipment is in good shape and that you get it right at water's edge is so great! Great location, too. It takes about 1/2 hour to paddle to the rocks at Carnelian Bay. Then you can jump off the rocks for the best summer experience!

Wonderful kayaking experience! You can’t go wrong with Tahoe’s beauty. It was last minute for me but the friendly and knowledgeable staff was able to get me through the online process and into a kayak in minutes. The kayaks are in excellent condition and up to date. Definitely recommend this establishment for your next kayaking adventure!

Trying to rent 5 sups and 2 yaks the morning of on a busy Saturday in July, up to date online inventory and booking was a differentiator for us. Storefront and beach staff were all informative and friendly and they make the process very lightweight. Pay at the storefront, check in at the beach canopy, and grab your watercraft at the shore. You only need to drag your sloppy body around and nothing else. 10/10 would recommend.

Friendly and helpful staff with gear available on the beach. We rented kayaks for two hours but only used one. They refunded the unused hour. So nice of them.

Making an online reservation was the easiest and best idea I had. We rented a SUP and a doubly kayak for a couple hours as soon as they opened. The kiddos and I had a great time. The workers were friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend.

Staff was nice and location was great. Just leave your stuff with people you trust because they can't guarantee that your things will be there when you return from your trip.

Great experience! Easy reservations online, free parking, just showed up and walked across the beach and boom on the water! 2 hour trip was perfect to go to crystal bay and back and relax on the water.

Kayaking in Kings Beach was an amazing experience. On top of that, working with Tahoe Paddle and Oar was such a great choice. I would highly suggest making a reservation in advance which is easy to do on their website. I felt like the prices were very fair and cheaper than some of the other options in the area. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and even gave us suggestions on where to paddle. Cannot say enough about their customer service. I booked online three weeks in advance and got emails for the confirmation and reminders about my upcoming reservation.
As for the kayaking, I would suggest doing two hours minimum. In our two hours my husband and I were able to paddle towards some pretty cool boulders and back without overexerting ourselves. It gave us time to take breaks and photos as needed.

Rented a kayak for the day. Staff were very nice and helpful. They take the equipment down to the water for you and even great you at the shore upon your return.

Great experience renting double & single kayaks for our group. Check in was super easy and the staff were very helpful. Having parking included was definitely a plus. I would highly recommend and will be returning for sure.
