Tandoori Masala Indian Cusine reviews
19 I recently ordered takeout from Tandoori Masala Indian Cuisine and was extremely impressed with the quality of the food and service. The flavors and aromas were absolutely amazing, and I could tell that the chefs take great care in preparing their dishes with fresh ingredients and traditional Indian spices.
I ordered several dishes, including the chicken tikka masala, and the garlic naan. Each dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The chicken was tender and juicy. The garlic naan was also a standout, perfectly crispy and warm, and the ideal accompaniment to the rich, flavorful curries.
The dishes were neatly packed and properly labeled, which made it very easy for me to identify each dish. The portions were generous, so I had enough for several meals.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and my order was ready on time, so I didn't have to wait long to get my food.
I’ve been lookin for good Indian food in Modesto for awhile now and can finally say I found it! I ate here 2 days in a row that’s how good it is! We ordered garlic naan, lamb biryani, butter chicken and samosas. It was delicious! Also the person that took our orders was super sweet and had great customer service. I highly recommend
My boyfriend & I came in to eat as a last minute decision for lunch & it is the best Indian food we’ve ever tasted! The garlic naan is made fresh & all of the dishes were delicious. The owner was the absolute sweetest & has the kindest soul. We will definitely be back for more!
My husband and I tried this place tonight and I must say it was really good! Friendly service and great experience. We'll be back.
Great Indian food! My wife got food here and it was so good that I went back the next day for more. I especially loved the spinach paneer and garlic naan, but everything was great. Good service too.
Had ordered Indian food for Thanksgiving. It’s obvious these “ hole in the wall type “ so called restaurants have no clue about what they prepare. The half Tandoori chicken was less then a quarter and the bird appeared to be famished before it was killed. Oil floating on top of all veggie dishes and saag paneer tasted sour. Slapping a fancy name does not make a restaurant. Tandoori chicken dry and bland. Cooking meat in a Tandoor requires expertise. Tandoor heat draws out moisture from meat making it dry and hard to chew. An utter disappointment. We threw away veggies as just a look at oil floating so freely on the top was enough to kill the appetite. Utter disappointment!
Best restaurant ever! I’m a regular here, and everything they have is the best! Mango lassi, samosas, pakora, plain rice, and everything on their menu is great! Very limited options yet very good food! This place is better than any other place that I’ve ever been to! <3
Best Indian food in town! Baljeet is awesome and has the best customer service! She is the sweetest! I will definitely keep coming back!
Was really bad experience, I had food with them before was good but this time food was super spicy and the lady working over there didn’t ask that you want mild or not and she also didn’t ask for spoons napkin when I ask for spoon she said oh you need spoon and food was pricey and price she charge is different then their website. Her behavior was not welcome too
One of the best Indian restaurants I ve eaten at in California. The owners were so hospitable, they really made us feel like we were visiting family. The food was out of this world! Not creamy at all like other Indian places.
Wish they had a branch in Austin as well.
We were on our way from Yosemite to Napa Valley when we decided to try this Indian restaurant as we were craving for authentic Indian food! And Tandoori Masala didn’t let us down! Kudos to the hostess for being so courteous and nice. The food here is awesome! We had super delicious dal makhni, rice and piping hot naan while hubby enjoyed his lamb biryani. We even ordered Masala chai and it was super duper. The flavor is authentic and so yummylicious - I ensured I paid my compliments to the chef and the hostess.
It is a small place with limited but flavorful and authentic Indian dishes. Must visit!
Best Indian food in Modesto. The butter chicken was perfect. Fresh food. Clean. We’ll be back.
I'll say the food was excellent. There are some things that you'll not find in other local Indian restaurants. It is well worth a visit! I tried several different naan and roti and they were all fresh and flavorful. The portions were more generous than some other local Indian places, but not super large. Good flavor! I can't recall the drink, but they have an interesting basil, rose, gel milk drink that was pretty nice, if you are at all adventurous.
Seating is wooden chairs and tables. No booths. There is a buffet, but it hasn't been reopened since COVID. The thermostat was a little warm, especially for serving hot and spicy foods. I noticed loose linoleum, but you'd have to step a little past the counter to hit it.
That being said, the waiter didn't take my order for a very long time (maybe the first person that told me to sit down didn't inform him that he needed to get my order?), didn't bring a drink until the food was ready (the first lady did bring us all bottled waters after awhile), and forgot something I ordered (I ordered 3 different drinks and he forgot Chai). Once my order was in, it wasn't a very long wait. I think the waiter might need to either have a little more training or learn a different system of writing down orders. He wrote everything down long hand, which was much slower than elsewhere. I'd suggest either writing dish numbers, shorthand, or a checkbox system with the only writing being modifications of the dishes. Because of the combination of small things, a late lunch ended up being a Lupper.
By far the BEST Chicken Biryani we've tried. It's divine! Hot and fresh! Mango Lassi is perfect. Not too thick, not too thin just the right amount of sweetness. We'll be back definitely. Highly recommended!
For $20 fed 2 and the food was delicious. Service was friendly and swift. Choose medium heat with butter chicken and fire naan. Not to hot very tasty. Fabulous experience for my companion. The Mango lassi was a true delight. All served with plain elegance.
Excellent food. Medium heat hits just right. We walked in at around 7: 30, as they were preparing for a large party that had ordered ahead. Our food took a little while to arrive, but I could see what was going on and understood why. Everything was delicious and well worth the wait.
I had bought chicken biryani but in the name of biryani it was rice and chicken curry. Really bad experience.
We’ve eaten here in store and via doordash over 20 times. The food is top notch, the prices are excellent, and they’re lovely people. The tikka masala’s are excellent. The naan is some of the best I’ve had anywhere or at home and is very inexpensive. They have lots of small dishes and a number of huge rice plates. We’ve made it through about half the menu. Highly recommend! Small, but never crowded. Incredibly clean. Delicious. And they’re bringing back the lunch buffet in 2 weeks!
Great place with delicious Indian food. Must try Gol Gappe. Staff is very nice and friendly.
Definitely will visit very often.
