Argentinian Restaurant Tanguito reviews
14We had to wait like 10-12 minutes, but THERES A REASON FOR THAT. The food was authentic, delicious flavorful, amazing! Listen, it’s so freaking good! What a hidden gem! Loved it so much, and I’m from out of town and tried lots of different cultured foods. This is one of the best.
Without a doubt, a very Argentine place. Excellent Neapolitan Milanese and the entire range of Argento-style meats. Highly recommended, spectacular service, takeaway food, outdoor seating, generous portions and good prices.
Excellent atmosphere! The owners are Argentine.
Finding a place like this in the heart of Fisherman's Wharf, where fish, shellfish and crabs abound, is a balm to the palate. The location is excellent, you are close to many points of interest in San Francisco. Don't miss visiting it!
Amazing food, steak with garlic potatoes as well as the veggy burger was great! Great way to support international locals instead of the big chains
I had the pleasure of eating at Tanguito on my recent trip to San Francisco. I got the ham and cheese empanada. It was so warm and flaky and flavorful! I made friends with Estevan (sorry if I am misremembering your name, my friend) and felt like I was at home. Please do not sleep on this gem! Thanks again
Prob one of the best hole in the wall/food truck places I’ve ever tried! Very unassuming but the food is immaculate! You get more than what you paid for! We tried the empanada, which is unexpectedly super stuffed I love it! We had the Milanese with garlic fries and steak with rice - would get it again! And Steven is such a darling, he made it sure that we are getting the best food experience.
What a find to eat quickly, good and cheap at Fisherman's Wharf.
The best Argentine food at popular prices and in a place with much more charm than the best restaurant.
Everything is made for you at the moment and it is super good, so much so that you do not stop repeating and asking for more.
If you don't want fish, it's what's in the area, don't hesitate and come here. The choripan takes away the meaning and the sandwiches would make you come every day.
The Argentine owner of course is super nice and makes everything easier for you
If it weren't for the reviews, the truth is that we wouldn't have gone to this Argentinian “chiringuito” but we don't regret it at all. The meat is delicious, the portions very generous, the "boss" is super-nice and the price is competitive considering the very high prices in San Francisco. Highly recommended, do not get carried away by the first impression.
As the saying goes "the habit does not make the monk"
The truck/kitchen is really tired but the dishes are excellently succulent and above all homemade. And the cook is very caring. Very good value for money. An excellent address that we recommend if you stroll near Fisherman's.
DELICIOUS FOOD, great flavour burger and steak sandwich
Cheaper than other eats in fisherman’s wharf
Had the chiropan Italian sausage sandwich and it was really tasty and astonishingly affordable considering this is SF and in the tourist area. I have never been to Argentina, so I can't speak to the other reviewers claims re authenticity, but it is good. Very good service, and you can sit either along the sidewalk and people watch or in their little patio.
If you are in the area, this will hit the spot.
For sure a pleasant surprise to find this quality food please in Fisherman's.
Under the careful watch of its owner this little restaurant gives everyone good food and a careful customer atentio under very affordable price
Great place for sure!
The veggie and normal burger were delicious! Same with the french fries and corn cheese pocket! We highly recommend this food truck!:)
Delicious empanadas! Very well seasoned. Potatoes with garlic also very good. I recommend!
Place doesn't look like much and prices are low. But the seating behind the food truck is cosy, the service is friendly and helpful and last but not least the food is EXCELLENT and portions are large.
