Asian Restaurant TAO reviews
20 Absolutely beautiful place, the food OMG! Black cod and the lobster fried rice was my favorite! You can't go wrong with the lollipop chicken wings
Great ambience atmosphere, playlist was soothing until the dj started around 9/9: 30 the music was so loud we couldn't hear each other at the table. But overall it was an awesome experience
Truly an Iconic and incredible place to have a nice dinner with a close friend or family. Asian-Fusion type DELICIOUS food! You will not be dissapointed!
Everything is just amazing here! I love TAO, if you’re around, it’s a must! Lychee martinis, noodles, sushi, lobster rice!
This restaurant is a must if you visit Los Angeles - Hollywood. The food is outstanding and the service could not be better. The cocktails and virgin cocktails we had were great as well as our starters.
The portions are huge so the prices are more than fair.
It‘s also one of the most beautiful restaurants we have been to yet. The statues and lightning inside are spectacular. 5 stars for everything, food, service and ambiente.
The place it great, the food is so good, the price is great for the food, but the service is outstanding, we were there last week and the waitress from the lounge bar was incredibly good, very kind, she recommended us a new dish from rice and mushrooms which was something out of this world. Great place
Everything about this restaurant was amazing. Jenna was my waitress and she was fantastic! She attended to my allergies (Im allergic to fish). I will be back!
What an incredible space! The restaurant is extravagantly Asian themed, with giant Buddha statues and an interesting seating arrangement.
We were seated on the large steps and were facing what seemed like a huge stage with a water feature.
The food was good, avocado tempura was a bit soggy but other than that it was delicious. We really loved the spring rolls & sweet and sour cauliflower in particular.
The cocktails were also delicious!
One of the receptionists appear insulting. When we asked for our reservation, she immediately said she couldn't find our name. The way she said it is as if we're like con people. Not apologetic. Didn'teven look like she wanna help us find our name. We gave our number, still she said she couldn't find it. We showed our booking confirmation and she said, "oh yeah". We asked what number was in there and we told her that's what we said earlier. So she told us to sit and wait at their lounge without telling us how we would know it's our time to get seated. She didn't inform us that we'll get an sms. Bad customer service. The place was noisy. We expected a quiet or jazzy ambiance where we could enjoy food with a good conversation. The food was good though.
One of the networks of most excellent restaurants under this name offers great food with the most excellent verity of options to choose from the menu.
It is really hard to choose from the wide verity of excellent dishes that are being offered in the menu.
The atmosphere in the restaurant is unique, authentic, and very pleasant.
Loved these plays. The food was delicious. Especially Pork Potstickers and Miso Roasted Black Cod. From cocktails I would recommend Mango Chili Martini. The best cocktail I’ve tried. The only thing I didn’t like is that there were too many waiters for one table. It’s a little bit confusing and uncomfortable when a new person comes up every time.
I have been here several times, but mostly for the lounge and bar. Really nice space with dim mood lighting and asian inspired decor. Very well designed lounge and restaurant with plenty of eye candy for those that appreciate design & details.
Went there with family for my father’s 70th birthday celebration (also was my 1st time in LA). Really cool atmosphere with a trendy crowd.
Food was Asian fusion and tasty. Be aware that some appetizer plates are quite expensive for just one small piece of meat (but that’s to be expected at this level of restaurant).
Overall father had a great birthday experience and we enjoyed a great meal with a high quality of service. This is a good place to go for an exclusive experience.
I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant. The receptionists are very unfriendly and have no understanding of customer service. We waited 1h20min for our table, despite having a reservation! They were not at all willing to accommodate us and were very arrogant.
The food, atmosphere, ambiance, and everything in between was amazing. I had lobster fried rice, and even beef & broccoli, and the beef was actually grilled, the egg rolls and dim sum were amazing as well. Very much recommend!
High quality food in a very elegant place! This would be enough to describe. We were there for dinner on a Sunday evening (booked the day before). Our table was in the bottom part, in front of the big statue dominating the hall. We ordered the 2 soups in the menu (I had the miso one, very special with some seafood in), pad tai noodles with chicken and the chef’s choice for the sushi. All was top served, tasty and delicious. Highly recommended! 4 to the service is only because I hate getting continuously bothered by personnel refilling my glass of water.
Stopped in for 2 small plates and drinks. We ordered the Shishito Peppers and Sea Bass. OMG the sea bass! Service was slow but that was ok as we were enjoying the ambiance. Drinks were tasty but again the Sea Bass OMG.
Great atmosphere, awesome service. Food is low grade food. For the price it was not ok. I would not recommend it.
Love TAO. The ambiance is amazing. From the moment you walk in you're just in awe from the decor, music, and beautiful people. The drinks are amazing and I really enjoyed the king crab dumplings, crunchy lobster rolls and duck fried rice.
Absolutely loved my experience at TAO! From the moment I walked in, I was in awe of the stunning decor, captivating music, and the vibrant crowd. The ambiance is truly remarkable. The drinks were fantastic, and I couldn't get enough of the vegan dumplings, shushi options, Chicken lollipop and hongkong fried noodles. TAO is an exquisite blend of atmosphere, flavors, and people – a must-visit for anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience.coming back again
Great food & drinks, superb service staff & fabulous ambiance. The women at the front reception were not very good. Reservations were made, we were on time, they said it would be a couple of minutes and we waited 20-30 minutes. We will return simply because everything was great except the women receptionist.
