Tappi Sushi & Grill reviews
14I came with a party. We ordered a chicken teriyaki bowl to go, after eating. My friend who ordered the bowl is a nurse. We got home to take her husband the bowl, and it was shrimp! He is allergic! We called back to the restaurant and the waitress argued with her that she ordered shrimp. Why would a nurse order something that would kill her husband? Also, automatic gratuity on our ticket of 6 people?
Prices on the website are not updated. I questioned when I picked up. They said they haven't had a chance to update it. The difference is a 47% uptick! Shocking especially since the sushi rolls appeared not to be freshly made. I won't go back.
Every time i come to this place i’m disappointed the sushi rolls look bad, they always break apart with one touch, they’re soggy, tasteless, and just not really satisfying for the price point.also their website is not updated so when i ordered over the phone they gave me a different price and didn’t honor their mistake which is rude tbh:/
Place was freezing inside, food was far below what it used to be, service was not great.my water was empty the whole meal
We were here for our monthly-versary!
This place is ahmazing! We had the honeymoon shooters. They were out of Uni so we added shrimp. It was happy hour and we got the yummy 8 PC sashimi, which included Albacore, Salmon, Yellowtail, and tuna. It was presented beautifully with a flower, carrots, lemon slices, and green onions. The only thing missing was the authentic Wasabi. We ordered Ikura, and I was thrilled because Ikura (salmon eggs) have been scarce recently. TRY the chili green beans. It's a wonderful way to start the meal. We also ordered the sake bomb for $10 on the happy hour menu that includes a cute mini sake and a 4.3 fl oz Sapporo beer. We had Daniella as a server, she was wonderful. TRY the Helix Roll!
Solid offerings on menu. We had yakisoba, sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, oysters on the half shell, spicy garlic edamame, beers and cocktails. All food items were pretty good. Waitress nice.
Not good. Service person was fine. Table wasn't clean. Teriyaki chicken had no flavor. Other items did not seem fresh. California roll fell apart. Unfortunately took my out of town guest. They commented on how bad it was as well. Very expensive for the quality. Will not be going back.
I’ve been going to tappis for almost a decade now and it’s still my #1 favorite place to eat at when I’m craving sushi. Evel creates a welcoming ambiance and the chefs are creative with adding different tastes to the sushi. The waitresses are on top of it and everyone is always smiling. My favorite roll there would have to be the tappi roll…. It’s a MUST try and you can never go wrong with the spicy garlic edamame. My mouth is watering as I’m typing this! ’ Keep it up
They need to stop selling Ramen. They have no idea what they are doing. Sushi is mediocre at best.
Great service, and a lengthy happy hour menu with a dollar or two off many popular items.
Overall good but the prices trend very high. They have some rolls that are $30 each or more once you add tax and tip. For that price it should be an amazing roll but they are not that impressive. I got one that was supposed to be in a cucumber wrap. It was a quarter inch thick! A cucumber wrap is supposed to be thin as paper.
Also, just about everything has shrimp so if you don't like shrimp or you don't eat shellfish, you have to really study the menu to find something that will work, or you have to know how to customize your order. That's a pain. Most sushi restaurants have more fish options.
There are also kitchen options of course, but I did not try them.
The staff here are pleasant. Food is made to order.
My issue is that these rolls are overpriced and underwhelming. Plus, I ordered takeout and the rolls didn't look worth the prices. One of the rolls I ordered, it was either the Protein or Tappi roll (whichever has a green sauce on top) was DRENCHED in sauce. Like the bottle cap fell off and all the sauce flooded the box or they were really trying to cover something up. None of the rolls I ordered were memorable or else I'd mention which one I actually liked.
Great sushi selection, taste and presentation! The staff is so friendly and the chefs are so welcoming and recommend great specials of the day. 2nd time & will continue to return in the future! Stop by it!
Tappi has a great selection. Many many rolls to chose from and all very tasty from what I've tried. They also have a full bar. I enjoyed the insanity roll and the shrimp poppers. They have plum wine flavored mochi which was excellent.
We were looking for a new sushi connection. This place was very close to home and the fish was the best. The waitress was also very professional and efficient. My wife and I were very satisfied and have found our new sushi hangout.
