Taqueria al Gusto, San Diego CA

Went thru the drive thru and ordered the Edpecial shrimp stuffed potato. It was delicious! Highly recommend trying it.
4 because it really needed more than the 3 I found, but the flavor is really yummy.
Atmosphere is a 3 because the price on the drive thru menu was $4 less than I was charged.
Service is 5 because the cashier adjusted it once I mentioned it, but she hadn't known there was a different price on the sign.

Want to try this place again and some other food, just to see if there's consistency in food and better coordination.

We came for a very late dinner & the service was excellent, the food was good and they stayed open a few minutes late so we could finish. I had a bowl of Caldo de Res and a Birria plate. Food was hot and the plates were plentiful. I will be back for breakfast.

First bite of my surf & turf I pulled out a broke off shrimp tail (crunchy) with my teeth, second bite I pulled out the shrimp and realized the shrimp haven't been cleaned, deveined or anything. I want my money back. Don't eat here. If they can't be bothered to clean the shrimp, what else aren't they caring about or cleaning. Burrito went directly into the trash.

The lady that took my order so nice. We get our food, first thing I notice is the tortilla. Thin, which is good, I don't want to fill up on tortilla, so a plus for that. I got the chili relleno burrito. Perfect. Rice, beans, pico, sour cream, guac and yes the chili with not a lot of cheese. Yay. My son got a carnitas burrito, I asked him what did he like the best, he said he can't explain it, just so freaking good.

Tried the rolled tacos and my partner tried the al gusto burrito. Got both red and green sauce to try. The rolled tacos were flavorful and smothered in guac and lettuce, yet held together surprisingly well when picked up. The creamy green sauce and spicy red sauce were both welcome additions. The burrito was packed to bursting and the flavors worked well together. Will definitely visit again!

I order two tacos of carnitas “a side of beans & rice”.
& I got this, I don’t know where my side went I didn’t tilt my plate, I didn’t not throw my plate, I didn’t slam my plate, I didn’t swing my plate. I got it placed it on my passenger seat drove nicely, calmly, correctly like 3-5 mins home & this is what I open my plate to! So
From now on, thanks to THIS type of drive thru places. I will triple check my plates before driving off.on top of all that it was 30$! + for this plate

Friendly staff and a HUGE menu. Can't go wrong with anything you get here. Aguas frescas are always amazing

The tacos are really good but they will always mess up my order. Its almost like they just give me what is ready. Double check your food.

My favorite Mexican food restaurant without a doubt. I always get good service, their carne asada is marinated so well and they regularly make items off menu for me.

First time going to this restaurant. There was plenty of parking. I went on a holiday morning time. I ate inside, restaurant is clean, no annoying loud music. I had green chilaquiles plate, Food was good, but I didn't like the fact that they charge extra for a bit of extra lettuce and pico de gallo. It went from $15 to $20 after I asked for those 2 things, and it was minimal romaine lettuce and only tomatoes. The tortilla was cut into long strips, very awkward to eat. The sauce had good taste, beans dis taste good, rice was a bit dry and bland. Not good enough to make me come back.

This taco shop is garbage if they get ur order wrong they will not change ur order or give u a refund would not waste my time eating here! Thumbs down any other taco shop would have changed the order or gave a refund instead they gave me a hard time if u are customer u have the right to take ur stuff back if it's not made the way u want it an he tore up the receipt in from of me! Rude an unprofessional l will not ever go back to this taco shop again an anyone l no l will tell them the same an not to eat here

Very delicious food, great presentation, and friendly service. I am vegetarian and order the "Potato Rolled Tacos"- highly recommend
